Stayed for 1 night in private room mid May. PROS: room was clean, bathroom came with hairdryer, host was nice, kitchen came with basic shared food provided by owner, front door always locked with code, for the price (£30) bed was comfortable enough. CONS: located on a hill, shower room was very dirty (water didn’t go down drain as lots of hair covered it, mould around the edges of shower, old chewing gum on top shower) a little bit out of the way from the centre, £1 extra towel had a hole in it.

The hostel is not covered by 24 hour reception.I attended recent world snooker championships and I arrived late as expected.I was just fortunate that a worker saw me but door was locked up on arrival.The hostel employee did deal with the situation well and I got a bed in a dormitory so all worked out ok. Taxi cost 8.5 pounds to hostel.
