Helpful staff, they stored my backpack there for a day even after I had already checked out. Very good WiFi. Rooms are small but comfortable. Good American breakfast.

Hostel does not have a lot of character. There are reports that it doubles as a homeless shelter, but I couldnt verify that. There are not a lot of bathrooms per floor and they could do with a more regular cleaning regime. Location is very handy and the place tries, its good, but just not awesome

The range of facilities were impressive- large lounge area, movie room, pool tables, pop corn machine, coffee machine, full breakfast, iPads, and notice boards with whats on in the city. Unfortunately the coffee machine was never available at times we wanted to use it, and there was no facilities to make tea or coffee outside of these hours. There was only one que for the two pool tables. The heating in the room wasn't turned up high enough and the room got quiet chilly during the night.

This is a decent hostel with a good value for money relation in particular as Boston is an expensive city. The rooms were clean, the smell of the detergent was a bit overwhelming in the room.

I had such a good time. The single room was of an average size but clean and with lots of furniture. 4th time staying in a hostel and it was great!!!

I can definately recommend berkeley hostel-the location is really good, about 20 min walk from boston common, newbury street and other things you'd like to see in Boston. The stuff is nice and always happy to help. Starbucks coffee and popcorn machine turned out to be very useful;) the only thing I didnt like is that they had only couple of hairdryers for the whole hostel and they didnt work very well, so ifylu really need a hairdryer, I'd recommend bringing your own.
