I'm a geography teacher and I stayed here with my students for a weekend. This is a great budget option for tour with teenagers because the hostel is big, next to the metro station and have nice toilets.

The hostel was clean and the location was ok, easy from the airport and easy to get to the city by the s-bahn. I tried to ask questions about the city to the hostel staff but they didn't know what was going on very well. It was a bit disappointing. Also, if you're planning on sleeping early (before 1 am), keep in mind that there are large groups of young students staying at the hostel (there was one in my hallway every night for four nights). They run and they scream.

My flight was delayed so I arrived very late. I rang ahead to let them know. It was 3.45 am and I was met with the most unfriendly woman I have ever met at desk. Not even a smile. She told me that the bed sheets were an extra pay after I queried the total pay. The facilities were fine. Comfortable bed, warm room, nicely lit. The man at the desk in morning was friendly. Just did not like the reception of the woman at desk at night.

Excellent value for money. In a good area of the city, but far enough away from the clubs and bars so it isn't too loud at night. Top bunks could do with more bars across...

Very good location (near to Südkreuz train station) and big rooms with big lockers. Negative was the staff that cleans the rooms (too loud). The doors don't reduce he noise from the corridors, so you can be disturbed by loud guests at night. BED LINES NOT INCLUDED!!!

I advice backpackers not to stay at this hostel. Someone stole my bag in the luggage room and the staff was unable to help. They just gave me the police station address. At least, german policemen are cool :( And last but not least I found a roach in my bed.

Overall the vibe of the hostel was pretty chill. However, there was a problem with the booking. The lady at the desk assigned my two friends and I to a room. Then around 2am when we came back to the room there was someone in one of our beds. There was a huge confusion and everybody was woken up, so we called up the staff and turns out the lady had put us in the wrong room. Luckily there was a couple willing to share a bed but all the staff did was offer us a bag of chips.

My first impression was good, but after visit in the reception I changed my opinion - we had to pay for everything: for towels and for bed linen. The hostel took a deposit for key card to the kitchen (20 euros) and for padlocks to the wardrobes in dorm (5 euros). The cleaning lady was in the hostel every day, but she firstly cleaned rooms and then bathrooms and toilets. There was no doors or curtains in the communal showers, so anyone could just enter. The staff and location of the hostel was OK.
