Has the potential to be a great hostel but is undergoing expansion and in the new building (great rooms and bathroom) told there wasn't a kitchen yet for our building which wasn't great. We weren't even shown the old kitchen to use - therefore we didn't really have a communal area - fine for a short stay but wouldn't want to be there longer. Also rooms didn't have lockers so not great for security and need air con or fan as its noisy with window open.

Lacked a proper social area, which made it a little hard to get to know other people than your room mates. Was told there was no kitchen for guests to use, got some coupons for free toasties to make that up though. Staff was ok. Showers seemed a bit dirty at times. No lockers in the room, but the door locked so not a biggie. Location is good near to the lake and bus station.

Very modern hostel. Wifi was a bit of a pain having to log in every time and sometimes it just wouldn't work at all. Close to everything. Good kitchen. Right across the road from a grocery store. No ladder to top bunk. Definitely look around for prices for activities/hiring bikes etc; they give you a wrist band they say gets you 10% off from some businesses but even then it can still be a rip.

There's no sign for reception or the hostel. Checkin took awhile. The orientation talk was informative but rather long. Hostel format is weird - you have to go outside to get to the other two sections, including the kitchen/"common room", which didn't appear to have a fridge but was always full of people. Do NOT expect a full night's sleep - the hostel is on a corner with three other hostels and people stay in the street all night talking. Shower temperature was never consistent and needs a mat.

Stayed in the newer building. Could use lockers in the rooms but other than that it was in a good location and really clean.

A fantastic hostel in a great location! Everything feels new and clean. Staff, particularly jaka, were all super helpful, friendly and knowledgable on the area. The kitchen and common area is nice and well stocked, an added bonus being it is open all the time as well! gorge walk trip and view point walk are recommended and staff really go out of their way to make sure you have an amazing time! Everyone's friendly and the hostel is a cosy size so you get to know people and ideal for solo trave

There is still some work to do. But where I stayed just opened a few days ago. I missed a locker but they offered me one at the reception. The guys who work at the hostel are friendly and helpful. They are easygoing and willing to help. I liked the atmosphere in the hostel. It's a place where you will have fun! I think the price could be cheaper but on the other hand, they provide a free tour and a discount on drinks and food in Bled.

Nice staff, but very noisy throughout the night. Might have been one off.

The atmosphere in the hostel was amazing, the staff and other travellers were all very friendly! Rooms were a good size and use of lockers a bonus. The only improvement would have been the use of a toaster. Missed my morning jam on toast 😔 Lovely holiday, thanks a lot!

Sister hostel to Castle 1004, it's literally one door up from the other hostel but the amenities were less good. Run by the same people - the staff are an absolute delight. However, the wifi wasn't as good and the kitchen area requires getting outside to go to. There are also a lot of drying racks stowed around the place where laundries are conducted. I stayed at a 12 people room which didn't have stairs for the upper bunk, resulting in my bunk mate jostling/nearly stepping on me a lot

Very clean. Everything felt as though it had recently been done up. I stayed in a 12 bed dorm and it was a lot nicer than I had anticipated. The staff were really friendly and helpful and so were the hosts (travellers working there for a bit too save money).

This hostel was excellent. It's facilities were top class and the staff were very accommodating to our needs. It was located in a very central location and it was only a 3 minute walk from the lake which was great. Would highly recommend this hostel to anyone.

One of the best hostels I've stayed at. The staff are so chill and helpful, everything is always really clean and the location is perfect- right by the 'centre city' and a two minute walk from the bus station. Couldn't recommend it enough!

Hostel was very clean and in a good location. No air con though so even with the fans provided rooms were very hot. Seemed the best hostel in the area and would reccomend their gorje walk and viewpoint day tour.
