this review is actually for Castle Hostel which is located next to Ace of Spades Hostel and i supposed managed by same company. I booked for Ace of Spades but there was no other guest in the hostel so the staff put me to Castle Hostel. I had great time at Castle Hostel as staff were really helpful, room was clean, bed was very comfortable, toilets and showers more than enough for all guests. But if you just want to sleep this might not be the right place for you as the partitions arn't soundproo
Excellent place to stay when you are in Bled. The staff are very friendly and offer a lot of suggestions on how to best spend the time in Bled (and around). They also organize short visits to nearby places (like Vintgar Gorge). The kitchen is well stocked and was quite clean when I was there. The bathrooms were clean. And of course, the supermarket is literally 30 seconds away. I will stay here every time I come back to Bled in the future.
Nice dorms in a house that looks like new. Interested staff, ready to offer a few free rides to interesting places. Definitely worth the money!
Great hostel! Would totally recommend it. Very beautifully decorated, nice and helpful staff, free computer and washing machine, fully-equipped kitchen... The four bed room was a little small but okay if you're travelling with a group. The toilets were a little smelly but as they were cleaned everyday it's the male guests fault.
Really great hostel, a real shame we only stayed there one night after a very long trip everyone, staff and guests were very friendly with a good atmosphere. Only issue was finding it, the office isn't marked and the hostel itself only has one really small sign that you wouldn't expect given how good the rest of the stay was!

Basic but good and friendly hostel which is well located in Bled. The owner was friendly and helpful, but often not around which is a small nuisance when checking in / out etc.
too many people for too little space and facilities...
Nice Hostels with good facilities and staff. The rooms were rather small but modern and clean. I can recommend this hostel for sure.
This wad an awesome hostel, only needs a sign on the building!! After the initial confusion of where it was, loved it! The tour to the gorge and the viewpoint was much appreciated.
This is anawsome hosyel the staff are so helpful they will do anything to help you out would highly recomened staying there top hostel
Great stay. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice clean hostel with a good vibe. The reception was really hard to find so a sign would be great. The toilets smelt REALLY bad the whole time though! Air freshener?

Great hostel. Atmosphere was great. Also lots of activities arranged by hostel.
I'd pass on this hostel. It's not well signed, so it's hard to find. The 4 person dorm was really small, cramped, and hot. The kitchen had a serious fly problem. The bathrooms smelled strongly of drain. Oh, and I got locked inside one because the handle fell off. The walls were paper thin, so you could hear every word spoken outside or in the hallway. And the front door was never locked, so anyone could just kind of walk on in at any time. You could use the washing machine for free though.
Nice location, friendly and welcoming staff. Had loads of activities organised if wanted to explore more than just the lake. Had a free washing machine and drier- luxury! Kitchen was nice and clean compared to others we've been to, kitchen also used as a social area with tv so could chat to other travellers. Would stay there again.
A reasonably new, compact hostel, in the same area as many of the others. Basically a small converted house, with the reception (slightly confusingly) in the house across the street. The owner / reception guy was helpful and friendly, and it was a short walk down to the lake / into the town. Shared bathrooms, a kitchen downstairs, and a small supermarket over the road. Clean and tidy, but only complaint - the walls / doors are thin, so take earplugs if you're not an easy sleeper!
The common area is an outdoor patio and the kitchen. The trash in the kitchen tended to smell but the rooms were all very clean. Overall, an average hostel but there are better in Bled. To check in you have to go to the green building across the street (next to the super market) and ring the bell.
Very clean hostel, nice staff and great free walking tours. Only thing is hostel was a bit hard to locate, exterior was rather nondescript.
it was really good stay night at ace of spades. one day tour and staff were excellent !! but the kichen was dirty because of guests i think
