Airlie Beach YHA Reviews

Our sons stayed at Airlie beach yha, loved it! Our only complaint is the air conditioning was poor and so it was hot for sleeping, otherwise great teenage young people accomodation

M&F Couple Ages 18/25 - Stayed in the twin bedrooms. Pros - friendly staff, friendly backpackers, decent pool, nice balcony to overlook airlie beach. Cons - Prison Cell like Rooms and a bit claustrophobic, its $7.95 to use the internet for a day (aslong as you sit near the computers in the community room - expect it to break down if you want it in your room).

Just stayed there one night. They are really disorganized, I needed a late check in and had to call them because they haven't sent me any email with the arrangements. The room was clean though and the ensuite bathroom was really appreciated.

Room very basic but clean and complete with balcony. Only had to share bathroom with one other private room and it was kept immaculate. Managed to lock myself out one night but staff were very helpful and sorted me out. Hostel is in a good location- on the strip but far enough away from all the noisy pubs and clubs if you actually want a sleep, 4 second walk to the pubs if you don't. Good place to stay if you're travelling on your own as they organise some social stuff in the evenings.

Ok hostel, but not my first choice. It's at the far end of the whole Airlie Beach nightlife strip, so not as close as the other hostels but still only a couple minute walk from the center of everything. Seems like they are in major need of an update or something.. lighting, paint job and general atmosphere made me feel like I was staying in a creepy motel. Linens looked unwashed! Maybe it was just weird stains, but still gross. Had ants in my room.. Bathroom was clean. $10 deposit for the key.
