This hostel is brandnew and very nice and comfortable. They are still adding furniture and details and once it is finished it will be excellent. Fernando, the Manager, was extremely helpful and friendly. This is a great place to stay close to the airport >(free airport shuttle!) if people do not want to go into San Jose. There is also a restaurant in the same building that serve good meals at very reasonable prices. This hostel is brandnew and very nice and comfortable. This is the best place in Alajuela. The hostel is minutes away from the center. The building is safe, it has an awesome interior design, hot water, and the staff is extremely helpful. Fernando, in particular, made us feel welcomed and more prepared for our trip through Costa Rica. He was so wonderful. I highly recommend this place, and we will definitely come back to Alajuela Backpackers again on our next trip to Costa RIca. This is the best place in Alajuela. The hotel in Alajuala was brand new and beautifully decorated. The rooms were spacious and bright and the location was amazing. It is right next to the airport!!! Apart from that, the new staff was attentive and very willing to help me out with any questions I had. I would definately recommend this location to any traveler; both budget and regular because it has ammenities that would suit any group to include a hot tub and a panoramic elevator!The hotel in Alajuala was brand new and beautifully decorated.
