I didn't give it top marks as we had to wait a long time to check in, my guess is they forgot about us as it was busy. The location is good but its not on the cobbled streets and can be a little off putting on arrival. That's all the bad, everything else was fantastic, would definitely go back and recommend.

If i could stay at one hostel for the rest of my life this would it, staff amazing! cleanliness perfect, i mean i really dont know what to say this place is nothing short of a three star hotel, can{t believe how great it was, but book in advance i have tried to stay several times since and they are always BOOKED because they are that good!

The hostel has everything you need, but is really big and doesn't have too much character. i really enjoyed the asado on Friday night! San Telmo is a cool area with lots happening; it feels 'young' and 'arty' but doesn't feel safe if you are alone at night.

Nice hostel, clean, and staff was very helpful; however, It can get a bit noisy later at night, slow Internet and early check out (10 am). I would recommend this hostel to anyone

Great vibes, great tours, awesome facilities and tons of sweet common space makes A.D.S. hostel one of the coolest places I've stayed in S.A. Cold beer on sight and a market across the street are bonus.

This place lived up to the hype. We stayed in a private double room and felt like we were in a nice hotel rather than a hostel. The room was very spacious, cleaned everyday, and the shower was hot with great pressure. The beauty of this place is that you still get the hostel experience of being able to meet great people, which we felt was so easy because of the AMAZING common areas that they provide. Breakfast was simple but bountiful every morning until 11am. Highly recommend.

America del Sur is definitely a great hostel in a great location in San Telmo! The staff was so helpful with whatever we needed. Great breakfast. Real nice social areas. We were able to walk around a lot to get around and the staff helped us with the bus lines for places that were a bit further. Very clean and secure building. Near lots of restaurants. If you're coming to San Telmo, stay here, you won't have any regrets!

Breakfast: awsome and with a LOT of food. I just wanted it to be earlier ´cause it´s only from 8 to 11... Kitchen: could be more organized and clean, specially the fridge. Reception: They are all friendly and help you with everything you want!! :) Room: The bad thing is there´s only 1 key for everyone. So you need to pic it up at the reception everytime you need to get into the room Look: Take a lock with you to keep your stuff safe inside the lockers!!

Best staff anyone can ask for especially Jaunmi, Michelle and Naty. Their hospitality is unmatched by any hotel, hostel, or any other place I've stayed at. Their atmosphere makes it easy for a lonely traveler to meet new people and experience new things. I've also enjoyed their knowledge of the city and helpfulness with ideas of what to do and where to go. I am absolutely certain that you will not find a better hostel than Americano Del Sur!

The hostel in general is great. But a hostels with an elevator is more an a hotel and not a hostel. Also the shower in the 4 mix dorm are extremely small.

America del Sur is one of the hostels with highest standards I've ever stayed at. Super clean, with excellent facilities, great breakfast for a hostel, knowledgeable and helpful staff, and lots of activities for the travelers. They are very organized and offer a hotel service at a hostel price. It is conveniently located near the lovely San Telmo market and square, has a supermarket right in front, and a very cool pub across the street. I met very nice people there, and had a wonderful time.

The hostel is very good overall. Only issue is noise - our window opened up on a central courtyard which is bordered by the hostel walls on each side causing noise to be loud and echoing; also, several nights, there were people speaking loudly near reception (or even yelling) which could also be heard in our 4th floor room waking us.
