Great (also huge) Hostel. We liked staying there. Friendly staff and nice events every day. Staff always had good tips what to do and other guests were fun as well. We felt that San Telmo is more quiet than Palermo and since Buens Aires is huge you should know what you want. However - we found really good places to eat and party in San Telmo as well.

I can't honestly say, hand on heart, that I recommend you stay in San Telmo, simply due to falling prey to petty crime here more than once. It's an area full of character with superb bars, restaurants and clubs, but walking around by yourself is not recommended. The hostel? Absolutely great, hence the high score. Wonderful staff, wonderful rooms, excellent facilities and a great breakfast. What more can you ask for in a hostel? Just be clued up about the area that surrounds it, and you'll be ok.

Hostel was lovely, light, clean and welcoming! Rooms were a good size and good layout. The walking tours were great to see the city and for meeting people, the historical tour was particularly good. The all you can eat bbq was amazing! Food was soo good! Staff were also really helpful, Juanmi on reception helped us book everything, I don´t know what we´d have done without him! Completely recommend staying here!

Very clean and nice hostel, not a party one. It was a bit difficult to meet people here as there isn't many social activities but all up a good relaxing stay

Awesome hostel! Well run, friendly, and close to the action. If your looking for a place to use as home base to see the city, I highly recommend this hostel. If your looking for a party, go to Mil$&@?#. Many thanks

Great hostel with friendly and helpful staff, good atmosphere and extremely comfortable beds. I staying here with my sister in a private room and we both really enjoyed our stay. The room was small, but clean, the beds really comfy and we even had a safe (big plus++). The breakfast was great, as was the BBQ on Friday night. San Telmo is a fantastic neighbourhood, we loved being so close to the Antiques market on Sundays, plus there is a fantastic steakhouse just around the corner!!

One of the best hostels I've stayed in. The staff are really friendly and full of information. The location is good, equal distance between the cool bars and restaurants and the main promenade in Buenos Aires. The best thing by far though, is the most comfortable beds and pillows in any hostel, ever!

The place is more hotel than hostel. Meticulously clean, and the staff are some of the friendliest I've met in all of South America. Great location in the heart of San Telmo. Beds are comfy and air conditioning in the dorm was fantastic. Definitely would stay here again.

The front desk staff were always very friendly and helpful. The cleaning staff did a great job of maintaining the cleanliness of all parts of the hostel. There is lots of space for hanging out and meeting other people- a large outdoor patio, a large sitting area on the main level, and a comfy area with big couches and TV downstairs.

Very friendly, polite, efficient, obliging staff at the front desk, able to speak to me in english when my meagre spanish failed!. Very much appreciated being able to leave items of luggage I wouldn't need for a week at the hostel in a secure room while I was away travelling elsewhere. Also very much appreciated being able to have a last minute shower after checking out of my room and before finally leaving later on my last day. Much to be said for starting a long bus or plane trip clean.

america del sur is a very good located hostel in buenos aires. very clean, very secure and with a nice atmosphere. and good breakfast. the staff is helpful and friendly. they book the trip to montevideo for us. just the rooms (we have slept in a 4 bed dorm) are quite small. all in all its a perfect choice for young people and also for older to stay in buenos aires.

Incredible staff, great atmosphere. This is definitely the best hostel I've stayed in. Very clean and well designed. I loved the common room on the main floor where everyone chats and mingles. Everyone at A del S is really helpful and seems happy to be there.

Secure and very clean hostel with amazing staff. Some evenings you could hear some noise to the rooms from the inner yard.
