Absolutely loved America del Sur. The common area was really great for meeting people. It seems to attract a really nice and interesting bunch of people. I'll be recommending here to anyone who travels to BA. The breakfast was quite good too.

Highly recommended. Should've taken cab not bus from EZE. Bus(Tienda Leon) goes to Terminal Madero, about hour's walk to hostel(at least I travel light). Staff very professional, don't let youthful appearance fool you. Hot/humid, AC OK, wifi soso @upper floors, SHARE ONE KEY PER ROOM. Streets safe, road hazards risking ankle injury. Subway OK but transfers to lines confusing. Complejo Tango great. Missed Eva Peron gravesite. Late January is kids summer break, pack patience at EZE on return:-)

Very friendly efficient staff, great location, kitchen facilities good - could be a littler cleaner but nothing major. Lots of activities organised and all very helpful for travellers. Double room is good value, includes ensuite and tv. San telmo is a really nice place to stay in BA.

After travelling through Ecuador, Bolivia, Peru, Chile and other parts of Argentina staying at numerous Hostels and Hotels, America Del Sur Hostel wins hands down in all departments. The place is always clean and secure, has all the facilities you will need while staying in BA, and the staff are better then staff I've experienced at 5 star hotels and more friendlier. When I return to BA I will be staying here again just for the atmosphere and the staff alone.

Great stay! And the asado, free guided tours, and other tips were key to making Buenos Aires into an even more fascinating destination.

The stuff is very very helpful. They tell you anything you need to know about the city and are really friendly. The beds are comfortable. The breakfast is good. San Telmo is possibly the best part to stay in Bs As.

We had a great time at the America del Sur Hostel, the staff was very helpful, the rooms were clean, there was a safe inside the room. I felt at home. Strongly recommended.

My girlfriend, a good friend and I just came back from our trip to Argentina, Uruguay, and Brazil. America Del Sur was for sure one of the better hostels that we stayed at during our vacation. The place had great air condition, wifi and was pretty clean. There was only one elevator which was pretty slow. People were very friendly

We stayed 1 night at this BA location after staying a few days at the El Calafate location. We were quite disappointed with the service at the BA location. The staff was not particularly friendly or helpful. We were entitled to a discount (for staying in El Calafate), but they didn't process our transaction properly and refused to correct it afterwards. We don't understand how they were voted #1 in South America; the service and facilities in El Calafate location were far better!

I had a great stay at America del Sur. I was there for six nights and enjoyed my time. If you are looking for a safe hostel where you can sleep during the night this is the right place for you since it is pretty quiet during. The staff is very helpful and friendly, you can ask them anything and they will try to find a solution for you. If you get the chance go on one of the tours organized by the hostel. If you have anything you want to put in your locker for safety reasons, bring a lock.

Legendary staff, all so friendly. The hostel is spotless, the cleaners do an outstanding job. Some nights were a bit quite but others we had a good party crew together. Luck of the draw I guess. Stayed at Mill house which was too hectic after 7 nights of hardcore partying then moved to Estrel which was well to quiet. This proved the perfect compromise. All rooms air con'd as well! Stay here.

One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. Staff was incredibly helpful, the hostel's condition was more like a hotel, and the location is very good.

Very clean and tidy. Good beds and mattresses. Rooms are clean and organised, much more so than other hostels. Quite like a hotel in many ways, just with 4 beds to a room. I highly recommend it.
