The staff we're fabulous, ready to help with anything from tours to directions to calling about apartment rentals. I would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone!

Another fantastic hostel from America Del Sur. I'd stayed in the one in Calafate before, and the BA one didn't disappoint. Well equipped, clean rooms and as always, great staff. My only slight downside was not the hostel at all, it couldn't be faulted, but the location. San Telmo is lovely, but not as lovely as Palermo.. There aren't any hostels that come close to this one in Palermo though, so San Telmo it is!

AMAZING HOSTEL. Hands down one of the best I've ever been to. The place is very well decorated and all the dorm rooms have private washrooms, sinks and and endless supply of hot water. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful with tips. Met lots of great people here and it is a great alternative to other more 'party heavy hostels'. The location is also great, has loads of nice restaurants and cafes nearby and super close to the center of San Telmo, one of my favorite areas in BA.

It was an amazing stay. Perfect place to hang out and also welcoming if you get there early. I could take a shower although my room wasn´t ready yet :) just a really great place

The hostel itself is very good, the staff excellent so it easy to see why it is regarded highly. However San Telmo is not a safe place in my opinion particularly at night if alone. The place is dirty, full of graffiti, young guys hanging around the neighbourhood drinking and smoking drugs and that was during the day!!!

Fantastic hostel - no wonder it has won best hostel in Latin America! Clean, modern, fantastic staff and facilities! Really social - great court yard that constantly has people sitting around of an evening sharing wine etc! Free walking tours available, air-con included, great wifi, generous breakfast, delicious Friday night BBQ and so close to walk to San Telmo (cool bars on every corner!!) Good place to meet great people as opposed to drunk tourists! Thoroughly recommended.

This is one of the better hostels I have stayed at over my many years of travelling. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and the hostel is also clean and centrally located. Two free city tours are offered each week. Breakfast is generous.

Fantastic place to stay, the staff are awesome and offer great activites in BA. They are very helpful with organizing travel arragements and the hostel has a great vibe!!

This was absolutely the best hostel we've been staying during our 6 month world trip. Everything was great. Clean, modern, atmosphere, activities, social, but not to much party, lovely staff, small dorms (4 beds is the max!), great doubles and so on... Good value for the money. One complaint: after staying for a week we had to leave because it is always fully booked. Book ahead! But i can imagine why. This was the best ever!

America Del Sur was great! My original plan was to stay in Buenos Aires for a week, but I liked it so much that I stayed for two. I was there Dec 9 2012 - Dec 21 2012. Staff were very helpful, was very easy to meet people, especially when travelling alone, and there were lots of great activities offered. San Telmo can be a little sketchy at night, but if you are with people you´ll be fine. Would definitely stay there again, great location :-)

The Hostal is nice located in the center o you wanwhereverf downtown, always only a block away from the accesspoint t to go. It has space for about 90 people and it can get a little crowded in the kitchen or during all you can eat buffet (which was only one plate while we were there. I was al ittle disapointed by the service. The colonia farry they booked would have been better (! TIPP!)whithout guided tour and menu and the booked buscompany was worse (Singer). Instead 17 hours they needed 24!

Sweet hostel!! The facilities were great and the staff were even better!! Always happy and great personalities, makes this hostel an even better place to be. Would definitely recommend people to stay here!!

A great hostel that excellent staff. The communal areas were spacious and nice outdoor area. Clean, modern and loads of tours and club nights on offer. Stayed in private double and room felt like a chic hotel.
