The hostel is a little walk from the center but it's up on a hill so you have a great view of Lake Argentina! The staffsits you down as soon as you check in and goes through all the highlights of what you can do in town and the excursions you can do from town. The common area of the hostel is great! I especially loved the loft. breakfast is great. We stayed in the seperate building for our first night which is great. The main building gets a tad loud at night but it's not bad at all.

America Del Sur was fantastic! We came in with no plans for our stay and they planned everything for us! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, the rooms and the bathrooms were the cleanest I had experienced in a hostel and the location of the building with views of the Andes and the Town was incredible too!

I stayed for 3 days at mid of April in the hostel and enjoyed my time there a lot. When I arrived, one of the staffguys directly took a lot of time for explaining everything, giving tips and helping out, eg for organising tours. The hostel is clean, has an average kitchen, a good and large breakfast with cakes and a nice common area. The hostel is about 10 minutes from the citycenter on a hill with a nice view. In a nutshell, a nice place to stay that can be well recommended.

Great hostel. Clean, good atmos, helpful friendly staff! The staff seemed to remember everyone's names and gave good advice on getting around and what trips were available. Breakfast was included in the price and free towels which is always a bonus. Also free internet and tea/coffee throughout the day. Great view of the lake and mountains from the main area, you can also catch a great sunset from there. Good having en suite in the dorms, although it did mean the room was a bit smelly at times!

Great, helpful staff and cool atmosphere. Had an absolute blast. The rooms were clean and comfortable, lockers were secure (bring your own lock). It's a hike from the bus station (looks closer on the map, the map lies), but very good quality.

A hostel with a great view and staff! I have no complains and spent a nice time with different backpackers in their common room. Recomendation: add a supported for glasses and small things in the beds!

Good view out of the window. But you have to climb a small hill to get there from the supermarket and or busstation. Staff was realy helpfull. And it was nice warm with heating in the floor. Liked it. Good place to stay, but not the cheapest around.

Loved this hostel! One of the best views in town over El Calafate and very close to town as well. The staff were so great and friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious. The common areas were clean and very open feeling. Loved it!

Big hostel, private bathrooms in the dorms - which we could lock. Wifi everywhere. The commom are was comfy, with a good view over the lake. The staff was very nice and helpful. the only thing to improve in the cleanliness of the kitchen: the breakfast also could be better.

Cool hostel with nice atmosphere and helpful staff. Amazing sunset views at Lago Argentino. You can book tours and bus tickets at the reception.

Amazing view and very helpful staff. The perfect spot to stay. The kitchen could do with a bit more equipment.

The straff was unbelievable friendly and helpful!!!! The view was awesome! Nice breakfast with variety! Cozy atmosphere!! Close to the city centre and the bus stop is around 10-15 min walk I can highly recommend it! The negative point is that basically everyone can get into the rooms, but there are lockers in the rooms

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Clean. The only negative was that they checked a noisy couple into my dorm room at 11 PM after I had gone to bed.

The staff here are super friendly and very helpful. The breakfast is good and the rooms are clean with good ensuite bathrooms. The kitchen is the only downside, it is small and becomes dirty very quickly, if they improved the kitchen I would say it would be close to being a perfect hostel!

Great hostel. The staff was very helpful in providing information about activities in El Calafate and about how to get to our next destination. Fun environment and amazing view of the lake and mountains from the backyard.

There should be an option to mark "outstanding" on the staff feedback, because just "excellent" is not enough. They were the nicest people I met in this trip, very helpful and informative. Great rooms with private bathrooms, and a very cool reception area with computers and info for tours. Good breakfast and a nice kitchen. The only tiny problem was that walking back to the hostel from the center involved walking up a steep road, but all the possitives covered that.
