cozy hostel, cute little kitchenette out the back, located close to all the essentials (bus station, supermarkets etc) staff able to organise tours. beds very comfortable with lots of blankets. WIFI god ( 2 passwords, 1 for upstairs, 1 for downstairs) 2 showers bit of issue if hostel is full. breakfast is basic bread jam and coffee. lovely stay in a lovely town

ThIs hostel is very clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. The beds are okay. The main problem with this hostel is that you have to leave when you check out which is at 11am. You also have to pay up to $10 to leave your bags at the hostel.

Weekends are hopping with people to hangout with. Pretty safe environment to keep your stuff in the room without having to worry about it getting stolen. Overall great place

Not much to say. I've stayed there for only one night it was OK.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the hostel itself. Staff was friendly, facilities ok, location ok, beds were good. It's just that there weren't that many people and the people that were there did not seem to be interested in socialising a lot. So if you need a nice quite hostel, go to this one, if you are travelling alone and are looking for some friends, this hostel might not be the best choice.

Charge you for leaving luggage, which is really tight. Hostel is okay.

Quite basic place with many bunk beds packed into small rooms. Lockers are one floor below in the basement. Kitchen a bit tiny. Friendly and helpful owners, though. In the context of la Serena (packed during summer), still a decent place to spend a night or two. Would not recommend for longer stays, however. Cleanliness and location OK.

The man manager was really nice and friendly and was always up for some darts. The female manager as well as the cleaning staff were rude and grumpy most of the time. Oven didnt work and no microwave. Close to stores and nice park, pretty far from the beach

Bring earplugs our room was on the front of thr street and was quite noisy. Good breakfsst nice and helfull staff. Staff did not know much english our fault for not knowing spannish. Wicked commen room with good people!

This place is fine, but I would recommend the hostel directly next door (Aji Verde), where we stayed the following two nights - just a better vibe going on!

limited hangout areas, but clean and nice.

It is very nice hostel.

nice hostel, clean. the staff is also very nice. There is a locker I can use. few concerns: the top bunkbed does not have any railing. so, if you fall down, eghhhhh. the breakfast is too simple, just 1 piece of bread and coffee/tea.

An excellent hostel. A well stocked kitchen, great showers and comfy beds. Very helpful staff and good security. The cleanest hostel I've ever stayed in!!

The owner is really nice, but I only ever heard him speak Spanish. The atmosphere was a bit lacking- there's not a good, comfortable place to hang out really. Outside are some chairs, but it's poorly lit and downstairs there's a lounge area with one couch and the "den" smells strongly of incense. The hostel is central enough to La Serena, but a ways to walk to the beach. It could be cleaner, too, but I've seen much worse. The price is fair and it includes breakfast.

Overall the hostel was good! Nice and warm showers, clean beds, small kitchen, breakfast was okay. Good hostel if you travel with friends, nothing for someone travelling alone.

Arrived late at night only stayed here for one night. Gentleman was nice when checked us in, don't think he spoke much English! Bedrooms were nice and clean, shower rooms average but did have hot water. We were late up and breakfast should have finished but they still gave us coffee and bread which was nice of them!

Very clean and well located hostel but watch out for the cleaner!
