Best hostel I've ever been.

The place has a strong 80s retro feel to it, but overall was good. We had a twin bed room with ensuite bath, which was overall a bit weird but comfortable and felt like a home. I recommend it! Our tiny bathtub was super.

Simple hostel for people who just need a room for the night. Excellent value for money. Would stay there again.

Not really a ryokan. if you are looking for a traditional ryokan experience, don't stay here.

Great staff with strong English! Very comfortable room and atmosphere in the private room with ample storage. Wish we stayed more nights here! Bit of a walk to get there from stations but wasn't bad. Ended up just walking to Ueno station to use JR pass which actually wasn't that much farther than Asakusa Station.
