Great spot! My wife and I had an exceptional stay at Ashanti lodge and we often prefer to tent camp over staying at hostels due to cleanliness issues. This place was great!

Ashanti is a beautiful place to stay. Staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, service at the bar was great, rooms were clean and comfortable (best bed I've ever slept in). It was a pleasure staying there.

Decent hostel I suppose in some ways but too much of a party place for me. Plus, the sink in my dorm room was covered with ants when I arrived which was disgusting. Will do for 1 night but longer? NO!

I love staying at Ashanti Lodge. I have stayed in the dorms, the double room onsite and the double room offsite at the cottage. Each stay has been fabulous and I will keep coming back. The location and view of table mountain in superb and the staff are really helpful and lovely.

It\'s been a pleasure going back to Ashanti, I\'d already stayed there back in 2008. One thing though about the manager: how about saying hello to her guests instead of ignoring them, and it was the same with the other manager three years ago.Very unpleasant.

Staff extremely helpful, cleaning staff work particularly hard, a very busy and lively hostel!

We stayed in one of the "guest-houses" which is just round the corner from the main hostel. It was certainly much quieter, but it also didn't benefit from the same level of security. Our gate and front door was operated by an old fashioned key, and if one of the other guests didn't bother to close these properly (which happened a couple of times whilst we were there) then the property felt quite vulnerable. If the weather was bad, the only place to eat was in your bedroom (sitting on bed!).

Great Hostel. Rooms were really clean, showers always had hot water and kitchen facilities were great. Only a 10 minute stroll to Long Street. Laundry service available and really reasonably priced especially for those travellers at the end of overland tours! 1 hr free wi-fi if you had laptop or smart phone was a nice extra too.

We stayed in the apartments house around the corner from the lodge. This is a great location and we could access all the facilities at the lodge without having the noise (perhaps) of the 'younger set'. Pool was excellent as was the bar, grounds and internet use. Would highly recommend.

I only stayed 1 night, I had booked a twin room and when I arrived on my own they only charged me a single rate. I was very grateful and impressed. Really nice staff and great to have individual safes in the rooms.

Really enjoyed my stay there. The staff was very friendly and helpfully, I would defenetly come back. just the rooms were a bit too hot during the night and it was hard to get some fresh air, because of the small windows, but it was too hot nearly everywhere in ct at this time.

I can highly recoment your hostel. The only thing is that the music in the bar is very loud to sleep at night and it is on until midnight.
