The staff at Siem Reap were very attentive and extremely helpful. They offer bicycle rent for $2 per day, which are charity bikes and a free bus pick up. When there were issues with the email communications, they facebooked me and we were able to easily communicate. A really lovely, clean place, with great restaurant and bar out back to chill out in. Really an excellent stay at Babel Siem Reap. Great, spacious and clean room, friendly staff and good food!
Imagine that the only minor downside was our squeaking bathroom door...

Let me start by telling you the positive things: The location was perfect and the setting beautiful!
Unfortunately the staff was pushing a bit too much and the manager had a very bad day I guess and was everything but friendly to us. This made us leave the hotel much sooner than we planned, which I think could have been avoided.Let me start by telling you the positive things: The location was perfect and the setting beautiful!

Since it\'s guesthouse not a hostel, you would expect that they clean your room, but they simple forgot. A superb hostel, clean and recently refurbished. Requested a double room - got a huge room with 2 double beds in it!!David is a great host, staff are delightful. Babel is a little difficult to find (ie - tuk tuk drivers would prefer you stay at their guest house!!), as it is off the main stretch, but persistence definitely pays off when you find this little Oasis!! Also excellent pizza place just around the corner!!A superb hostel, clean and recently refurbished. Great value guesthouse with big rooms and very clean. Didnt have a fridge and tv bit small but lovely setting and gardens. Location ok, bit of a walk to main tourist area though. Staff were lovely but managers were not too friendly! But its a great place to stay for the price!Great value guesthouse with big rooms and very clean. The staff here are extremely friendly and helpful. This explains why it is so popular. There is a real warm and friendly atmosphere. This is what all guesthouses should be like.
