Backpackers Hostel K's House Kyoto Reviews

We arrived late and left early the next morning so we didn't get spend too much time at the hostel. However short I was there, I still had a great experience. It was a short simple walk from the train station, which was very convenient. Since I only had one full day in Kyoto I needed to efficiently see all the main sites. The gentleman at the desk that night was extremely helpful in helping me plan how to see each site.

I really enjoyed the Backpackers Hostel K's House Kyoto. I liked the location, cleanliness, and friendly staff. I would definitely come back in the future or even recommend this location to my friends who visit Kyoto.

Excellent place! Very helpful staff, great facilities. SUPER clean. It can given 5star hotels a run for their money when it comes to cleanliness. Also, the common room and kitchen are well equipped too. All in all, highly recommended.

Nicely located with the train station and Higashiyama/Gion in walking distance. Staff is great, everything's clean and WiFi super fast. Not so good: Beds are a bit short if you are taller than 1,80 m / 6 ft; air con was blowing directly onto my bed. Still recommend this place to everyone!

Great location for transportation. Even the style is not like traditional Japanese house style, but the facilities, helpful staffs and budget are so good. I always stayed at K's when I visited Kyoto.

Loved it, loved it, loved it. Thanks to Yoshi for a great night out with some reggae and Okinawa food and spirits! I will definitely recommend!

The hostel was very easy to find coming from Kyoto station. The hostel itself and the entryway are very inviting and the staff was very friendly. The 4-bed dorm was clean and comfortable. There is a large lounge, kitchen and hangout area. It's a large hostel so there were always people coming and going so it can be a great place to meet people. The hostel is in a convenient location with temples within walking or biking distance or just take the bus. The staff goes above and beyond to help.

This was a great hostel! It's pretty big and there were many guests so it was easy to meet other travelers in the lounge. The rooms were nice with comfortable beds. I stayed in a 4 bed dorm - it was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The bathrooms are clean as well. The staff were very helpful regarding information about Kyoto and the various attractions. I really enjoyed my stay!

Simply AMAZING! I loved staying at this place for 3 nights in January! The staff were incredibly helpful and helped me contact M/C when I was having trouble with my credit card! I was traveling alone and I was able to meet a great travel buddy immediately! I will would recommend this hostel to anyone traveling through Kyoto!

Best hostel I stayed, incredibly clean, the common room is awesome, bathrooms are great, really safe and location couldn't be better. It's a must when visiting Kyoto.

Clean and spacious common area and kitchen. A bit far from the Kyoto station but there is a bus-stop nearby so it's convenient to use a bus pass to go round in Kyoto. Highly recommending backpackers to stay there in Kyoto.

Everything was great, I will strongly recommend K houses, Ito and Kyoto. I will go to Hiroshima and Tokyo next week, I hope I can say the same for those two other k houses!

We spent 6 nights here and have no complaints. Everything was spotlessly clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were warm and well-appointed and the overall atmosphere was relaxed and friendly.

K's house Kyoto was an excellent place to stay. My friend and I stayed in the 6 person dorm and had no issues at all. It was lovely going to the bar downstairs for a beer after a quick jot to the public bath just across the street. The staff was so nice and really helpful, even showing us some of the places in Kyoto to visit on the maps. The hostel was super clean, as was the shower and bathroom. The lounge downstairs was fun to hang out in and a great place to meet people. Will go back again.
