Gion Ryokan Q-beh

Our hostel is located in the historical district of 'Gion' area where 'maiko' walk around, and just a couple of minutes walk to some popular temples and shrines. So the surrounding area is very quiet, beautiful and calm.

We don't provide any food service but there are a Japanese style tatami floor living room with fully-equipped kitchen. A dining area with table and chairs for those who are not yet attached to the Japanese style. Also an observation room where you can look over a Japanese garden on the third floor.

+Coin operated washing machines (300yen/per load) and dryers (100yen/15 minutes) are available only between 8am-10pm.

-No bath-tub/Onsen.
-No laundry hanging place.

Deluxe Female/Mixed Dorm Room:
The room looks like a capsule hotel. Each bed space is divided by walls individually to maintain privacy. Each bed space is quite large with a personal bed light, plug outlet, mirror and boxed table, which can be locked with a padlock for your valuables.

Standard Twin/Double Room (Shared Bathroom) :
The double room consists of four and a half tatami mats. The twin room consists of six tatami mats. All rooms are air-conditioned. Bath towels are prepared.

Standard 4 Bed Private (Shared Bathroom) :
This room consists of ten tatami mats. The room is air-conditioned. Bath towels are prepared.The room is with garden view.

Superior 4 Bed Family Room Ensuite:
This room consists of ten tatami mats. There is a private shower, lavatory and toilet attached to the room. All rooms are air-conditioned. Bath towels are prepared.

Deluxe 5 Bed Family Room (Shared Bathroom) :
This room consists of twelve tatami mats. The room is air-conditioned. Bath towels are prepared.The room is with garden view.

**Please note that we are "ryokan-style hostel" so we DO NOT PROVIDE any food service and we DO NOT HAVE a bath-tub/Onsen.**

**Our hostel has preserved the beauty of the old buildings, so soundproofing is not perfect and there are no lifts/elevator. It is a great place to stay if you want to enjoy the old Japanese style of accommodation, but not for those who want to spend quiet time in their rooms.**

**We are afraid that our hostel is not designed to accommodate big groups, so we might ask you to cancel reservations if you are a big group (we can only accommodate a group up to 4 people in our Mixed dormitory, up to 3 people in Female dormitory).**

**We have a policy of limiting the length of stay at our hotel.**

**Starting from 1st of March 2026, the accommodation tax in Kyoto City will be updated as follows:
Room rate
¥5,999 or below = ¥200 city tax
¥6,000 to ¥19,999 = ¥400 city tax
(The above rates are per person, per night)

For reservations made for stays after March, the new tax rate will apply.

We also kindly ask for your understanding that the accommodation tax will be accepted in cash only.
