We were recommended by a friend to stay here and we were extremely pleased with our experience. We upgraded to a private room and it was great - bed was comfy, fridge, tv, small balcony and a clean bathroom. There were parties on every night/something to do - we already had stuff planned and booked so we didn't join in but we wish we did! The staff were fantastic - helped us with anything we needed! Really pleased.

Nice hostel. I recommended.

I had a great time staying at the Banana Bungalow. I liked the layout of the hostel, it was very spacious and conducive to partying :). The staff was friendly, the rooms were nice, the free breakfast was good. I would stay here again.

Definitely recommend, staff helpful, large facility's... Free computers and fast wifi..all in all everything you'd want and need from a hostel

The hostel itself was okay, location was pretty good. The rooms were small but they seemed to be in a good shape. Breakfast was average, the facilities seemed to be nice but you had to pay for the pool table, the computers hardly worked and there was no wifi in the rooms, laundry could only be done after 5pm. The stuff was helpful but they wanted you to spent money at there activities which were totally overpriced. all in all a okay stay, but a little overpriced.

stayed from halloween to thanksgiving, brilliant place on fairfax right near local shops and about 15 minute walk to the stars. transportation not too reliable near by however the weather is decent u dont mind. the hostel itself is great for its money with free breakfasts, constant activities and normally drinks and dinner for 10$ on most nights. i had amazing time here and already willing to come back next time im in l.a.
