Beaches Backpacker Resort-Airlie Beach Reviews

Staff were very friendly and easy to approach for information about anything you needed to know about directions to certain places, tours etc. overall it was a pleasant stay and i enjoyed my time in cairns.

Beaches staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms were lovely and cold (perfect for a struggling Brit this time of the year!). The free breakfast was very cool, cereal, toast, tea & coffee. Plenty available too! Unfortunately the kitchen was often dirty and there were only 2 cooking pots and a handful of spoons which made the free cereal difficult to enjoy when you're aware someone needs your spoon in the next ten minutes before the free breakfast ends! If your willing to wait, though...

I had so much fun staying at Beaches, it's in a great location and the bar downstairs is awesome, especially at happy hour! The free breakfast was over with rather early (7.30-8.30 am) so we tended to get our own breakfast so we could sleep in! Security is okay, lockers in the room would have been nice. Also, it would have been sweet to have been allowed alcohol in the rooms, especially since there was a mini fridge in there! Cleanliness overall was not the best... a few cockroaches around!

Excellent location, couldn't get much better! All the faucets in our room leaked, which just seemed very unsustainable to a very water conscious nation. Also, the kitchen got very crowded and dirty. I was lucky in that my room wasn't above the bar, but those that were said it was hard to fall asleep before the bar closed. Overall, it was a satisfactory stay!

Pretty disappointed. Rude staff, very unhelpful and unapolagetic for keeping us waiting half an hour to check out.

one women who's working at the reception wasn't very polite when i checked in, rest fine!

The shower was awful!! It's not that clean like it should be, even for that price!

The kitchen is very dirty! I think that it mainly depends on the people, who just don't care about the others! But there aren't enough saucepans, glasses, spoons, forks and so on...

There was no kitchen tap in the kitchen and the balconey door didn't lock. We were right in front of the roof of the bar so anyone could have walked onto our balconey and entered the room.

lack of security... we had 9 people in an 8 bed dorm, 2 of which weren't paying.... and it was dingy. could have easily been put in different rooms but all crammed into one.. the bar downstairs had a good happy hour and it was a good location, but hard not to be in airlie.

The kitchen area is pretty gross and it is very loud. Definitely don't go there if you want to get a good nights sleep!

i stayed at you're place for about 5 days and it was ok. i stayed in both mixed dorm and female dorm, the female dorm was actually better but both was ok. it was good that the bar closed at 12am because of those who wanted to sleep. of course it was a little bit noisy anyway but that's the way it is!
