This was our favourite hotel we stayed in during a recent 2 week trip to Italy. It's a beautiful building, great sized rooms, great location (and views!) and although maybe not the cheapest option in Siena, it's really excellent value for money. I would recommend it to anyone going there, and wish I could have stayed longer.

Nice room in refurbished ancient building. PRO: charming setting and building; you can enter from one street on 3rd floor or from another street at ground floor (reception desk); some rooms have patio access, where you can eat your breakfast (delivered to room); friendly staff. CON: narrow staircase (no lift); breakfast delivered to room. Because the town layout is medieval and hilly, you should get a taxi from the train station (less than 10€) unless you are good with bus navigation.
