The location is very far from anywhere in Aqaba area. It is necessary to take taxi ..There is absolutely nothing to do as soon it gets dark, unless you just want to stay at the premises. But for a quiet and comfortable time the hostel has a very nice atmosphere and several places to relax in nice surroundings. Rooms are just fine, but bathrooms are cramped and with floors sloping away from drain.

This was a nice place. It's right at the Red Sea, which is good. But be warned that it's pretty isolated otherwise. We spent one afternoon relaxing there by the beach and by e pool at the hotel and it was good.

The main disadvatage of the hostel was its distance from the town. I liked its atmosphere.

Loved the common areas. lots of places to lounge about and enjoy the company of other travelers. Easy walk to the beach (although the prevalence of Jordanian men staring at western women made it an uncomfortable beach experience. Staff at the Hotel were nothing but pleasant, helpful, cheerful, etc. If you're looking for easy access to Aqaba, it's an inconvenient 6JD taxi ride, and the closest ATM isn't walking distance. Food was reasonable, and Diving was easy to arrange.

The wall was dripping water making the floor wet constantly.

This is a great option for south beach, well laid out little resort, friendly staff, plenty of space, good little restaurant if you chose the higher end options, eg Barbeque fresh Tuna 7 Jod really delicious. lamb kebab very good too. Yes you have to cross the highway, like all the resorts, but it's not very busy and can be managed easily even if you had small children. Really good value. would reccomend to singles, couples and families.

Liked - funky little place with very reasonable en-suite double rooms with air con. All food and drink can be charged to your room. Disliked - Nothing, we had a car so it was easy to get into Aqaba but it might be a bit annoying if you didn't.

Very cute hostel, affordable and clean. The food is very blah, but there are good options in town. You can rent snorkel gear for 6 JD and the beach is right across the street.

Staff need to leave the single girls alone! Food overpriced and the burgers and turkey sandwiches were terrible, lamb nice though. They told us that you can't buy beer in the area but the hotel opposite sold it (3.5 JD for 500ml). Take your own, they let you put it in the fridge. Like the chill out area.

BGV is quite a good budget option. Rooms have air-conditioning, are clean, stuff is nice, restaurant may be better but is fine. Great advantage is a proximity (100 metres) of a public beach, which was almost empty during our stay (2nd half of September 2011), and a lot of nice snorkelling sites. You can get there and away from Aqaba by minibus (0.5 JD for locals, 1 JD for foreigners if you're not able to bargain for fair price) or taxi (around 4 JD). Main minus? There's nothing around there.

hostel is really nice. good location, nice, rooms. AC was not working properly though. also there's not big choice in the restaurant. breakfast was ok. I was really dissapointed with inappropriate behaviour of hotel crew. hotel manager was really pushy and made me feel uncomfortable by keep approaching me and talking to me (while i was relaxing by the swimming pool or eating dinner with my parents!). he was impertinent and totally destroyed my mood in staying in this place.

Bedouin Garden Village is a great place to stay if you decide to spend a few days at Aqaba South beach. I would say is the best among the other 3 4 hotels in the area. I was travelling with a friend of mine, we felt secure enough, however I would not recommend a single female traveller to stay there as its managed by men only and most of them would make you feel uncomfortable as they cannot stop staring at you. I am sure that I would have been harassed if I had been there on my own.
