Hostelworld says:

Bellavista Hostel is in a great location near La Chascona, surrounded by bars and restaurants and just 10 minutes' walk from Baquedano metro station, with trains going further into city centre. The helpful, friendly and informative staff serve a popular, free simple breakfast daily. Hostelworld guests tell us this hostel is 'big enough to party if you want to party, but with plenty of space to chill out too' and that 'the atmosphere is very mellow but friendly, no crazy party noise to keep anyone awake'.

Property Information:

Since 2002, the only hostel that can righteously claim to be situated in the Middle of the action!

Santiago's best location, clean, safe and fun...!!

The dorm rooms in our cosy hostel have high ceilings, hard wood floors and access to balconies. Our solid steel beds (no shaking or squeaking) are equipped with a spring mattress and a backpack sized locker. Fresh linen, blankets and duvets are provided for the duration of your stay free of charge.

Quoted from Lonely Planet:
'Colorful, bright, secure, relaxed and comfortable - Not only does it tick every box for a good hostel stay, it is also within hollering distance of some of the city best bars and restaurants.

We are centrally located on the East side of Barrio Bellavista, the famous bohemian quarter and every traveller's favourite area of Santiago. Although the hostel block is quiet (consists mostly of atmospheric restaurants), you will find many services on Pio Nono street (one block away), such as a pharmacy, fast food, mini-markets, bottle shops, handicrafts and ATMs.

The neighborhood is also famous for its many bars, nightclubs (from salsa to DJs) and places to listen to live music. All major sites of interest are walking distance. Eventhough there is plenty of fun to be had in our vibrant neighborhood with its over one hundred bars and restaurants.

you can always hang out in the hostel playing pool, foosball, watching a movie, or just chilling on our sundeck with a glass of wine meeting other travellers while you wait for our exciting weekly barbecues, wine tasitngs and pub crawls.

Cheap reliable airport pickups, just mail us your flight details!

  • Bellavista Hostel says

I think what makes us special is that we've been established for ten years and have a record of outstanding service to our guests. But what really sets us apart is our location; not only are we located in the one and only Barrio Bellavista, we are situated in the middle of Barrio Bellavista's fanciest, safest and most entertaining block. The city's best restaurants are literally at our doorstep and the coolest nightlife venues are around the corner.
Knowing how important it is for our guests to remain connected during their travels, our hostel now features a dedicated fiberoptic internet connection with free (high-speed) wi-fi throughout the property.
The nearest attractions are poet Pablo Neruda's La Chascona House-Museum, Parque Metropolitano and the new trendy Patio Bellavista development (an urban courtyard full of restaurants, bars and shops). These are the places we usually tell our guests to visit and are possibly Santiago's favourite attractions among all travellers that visit the city. During the night we suggest they visit Bar Constitución (one block away), Galpón 9 and Club La Feria (two blocks away); all these are trendy nightlife institutions of Santiago.
Our hostel is geared towards international backpackers and indie travelers between 18 and 35 years of age that want to experience Santiago to its fullest.

Plus points: Awesome location, seconds from the bars and resturants of Bellavista. 5 bed female ensuite dorm is spacious, there are heaters in the room and no extra charge, nice duvets and sizable lockers. Negatives: The place is dirty. There is dust everywhere and a strong nasty smell in reception. Noisy too
