This is definitely the most comprehensive and cozy hostel I have ever stayed in my life! It absolutely feels like home. And I feel in love with Seoul effortlessly during my 4 days stay. You can find everything you might ever need in this lovely hostel. Lee's thoughtfulness and consideration and attention to detail really impressed me deeply. I stayed in the single bed room with a huge window. The room is small but very private and cozy. It's all I needed to enjoy a good sleep. Highly recommend!

Located near a very easily accessed station and a very hip and young university, Bird's Nest hostel was just what we were looking for. We ended up arriving a day earlier than expected and just showed up the afternoon before our reservation. Lee was immediately accommodating, cleaning a room for us while he chatted and showed us around. I was SOOO thankful for the room and my whole group commented on Lee's great personality and work ethic. comfortable, affordable and desirable. Can't beat it!

The hostel was homey and welcoming. The security on the outside door was impressive, but once inside not much. The place was tidy but the bathrooms could be more frequently cleaned and the bedding changed regularly. The location is great and the directions to get to the hostel were superb. The atmosphere was very chill and laid back. The laundry was free, which is great, but there is no dryer, which means underwear is in public view.

The deluxe rooms upstairs are what you want as the ten bed dorm downstairs had quite rickety beds. The deluxe rooms were really nice and comfortable though and I had a really good nights sleep. The owner is particularly nice and was really decent even though one of my group behaved really badly when he was drunk. Will definitely stay here again.

Fantastic hostel. I had a little trouble finding it. (Make sure you follow the map to the tee) Great host. The floor was heated. This was a great luxury we do not always have in the States. Next time I am in Seoul I will be staring here again.

the group of us are six girls who stayed in female 6 dorm and one family room for four.the map given by the staff is really useful that it only took us no more than 10 minutes to walk to Birdsnest from Hongik university Station exit 2. free shower gel and shampoo, towel are provided and there is a kitchen on the first floor where you could prepare your breakfast(free toast and jams and eggs). Lee is also very helpful and friendly. generally, I would stay at this place next time I visit Seoul.

My main complaint is the bunks are tiny, padding is nonexistent, and they are really tall with low ceilings so it was a nightmare on the top bunk.

Perfect spot to sleep the night before heading to the aiport. Great neighbor away from the craziness of Hongik Univ., but close enough to sample it. Manager was great, free internet access, clean facilities, multiple bathrooms, very secure. Will recommend.

Had a great stay at Birdsnest and would recommend to others. The hostel is very clean, free breakfast, quite comfortable, hot shower, good location, very accommodating staff. Most of all, Mr. Lee is wonderful - so easy going and very responsible caretaker/owner, always there for guest needs. Be sure to share a beer and chat with him when you stay!
