We love the staff, they were very accommodating and friendly. I just don't appreciate the cleanliness of the bedsheets, it seems that it was not changed since we can still smell the that is was used. Also, one toilet bowl is not functioning and was not fixed the whole time we were there..

Close to the airport and beach but a ways out of town. Staff were decently helpful with travel information.

It takes 2 buses to get into town. I emailed them twice about an airport pickup and received an email back when I was already in KK. No windows in the rooms, was very hot and muggy with just a fan. They had cool Chicago Bulls jerseys framed on the wall though.

Owner Comment (Show)
Dear promotion guest.. 1. Only take 1 local bus to the centre of the town or you can walk wihtin 20 mins. 2. Again... we do not arrange and we did not mention in hostelworld.com description free airport pick up. This is a promotion bunker room. The room we are selling only RM12.00, so how can we provide free airport pick up 3. You may upgrade to aircon room and you're in southeast asia and not Europe

The hallway upstairs smelled like feet when we got there as the shoes were all left outside the rooms. Shower/toilet were somewhat clean but, because they weren't separated, the floor was often damp. Breakfast, though included, was meagre, and for a backpacker place, most of the guests kept to themselves.

Near the State Mosque and State Museum, the city centre is also within walking distance. Free breakfast, free wifi. Although the wifi is too slow to use most of the time.

The wi-fi was unstable and very slow. Other than that, this place is perfect. Free breakfast, spacious common room.

A very good hostel. The state mosque is nearby. The downtown heart is within walking distance. They charge RM10/stay for the locker. The wi-fi is unstable and slow.

I stayed here for a week and now I am back ! I stayed in a dorm room and it was ok. The hostel is a 30 min walk from the city or take a bus, only 80 sen one way. The staff is very friendly and the current promo price for dorm beds makes this hostel worth staying at !

Spent 3 nights at BGB during Jan 2012. I requested airport pick-up and was met in the arrival hall right on time. On the way to BGB, I realized I\'d forgotten to exchange my money at the airport so the driver made a detour for me without any complaint or extra charge. The staff were all friendly and super helpful! The only con is location however, there\'s a bus stop nearby and a ride into the town center is only RM 0.50! I will definitely be staying at BGB again when I return to KK in May!

The place is good for backpackers. The staff is accommodating but at the same time business-like. Just don\'t expect bacon and eggs for their free breakfast and you will just do fine! )
