The hostel is in a good location- near the bus station, city centre and coles. But it lacks any character or vibe making it a bit of bland place to stay. Its too big for people to mingle and there were no nights out arranged when i was there. the staff are friendly enough, you just dont see them often enough. Bathrooms were clean, but not enough showers and the rooms had a damp smell, but the main downside was the pub music played from early till 11pm- no chance of a quiet nights sleep.

Only stayed for 1 night, but had a really great stay. Our room was clean. It was really good that you offer sheets at no extra cost. Thank you very much :)

i was very unimpressed when we got there as we had no where to park our car, they booked someone else into our room which i had booked 2months prior, so they made us change rooms twice, the shower was disgusting, i had the worst sleep because there was so much noise each night., the staff also went through our things and took our alcohol, they were also very rude. Overall i wasnt very happy with the service and the rooms, i will not ever stay here again

Staff acted very rudely, and it seemed like they did not really want to be there or provide any type of service. (working long hours just for free bed perhaps?). No lockers in the room, and people coming in from street to hang out inside. This place has got lots of unfulfilled potential however... Daily competitions are good, but a bit annoying when I am the 2nd to sign up, and they somehow forget to put me in...

This is a really big hostel with 300 beds. Because of all people you don't really talk with each others. It's good with the free internet and jobclub but i prefere smaller hostels where you sit down and talk we the other backpackers.

I had a really nice stay at City Backpackers. The staff was very friendly and helped me plan out my day. The hostel had a very nice view and plenty of room to socialize with other guests. It can get a little noisy because of the bar in the hostel but I brought earplugs so there was no problem.

Hostel is situated near the majority of hostels in Brisbane. It is a walk to the city centre- depending on where you want to go this walk can be between 5-35 minutes. Hostel was very busy- sometimes difficult to get space to cook in the kitchen and get a seat in the eating area- as this is also the internet area. Rooms were very clean- so were the toilets. Overall good hostel

texellent hostel, very accommodating and great location to city and also train, buses and local supermarkets. Made to feel very welcome when booking in. Great fun for young travellers or slighter older generation. Great place to meet other people and have lots of fun in the bar on site. Kitchen very big, swimming pool very nice and on site cafe prepares great breakfasts, lunches and dinner, unless you want to cook all your own meals, which we did for part of our stay and enjoyed

Some of the shared bathroom are a bit out dated and therefore look scruffy, I know they are clean but they just dont look it.
