I really enjoyed my stay at Casa Angel. The location is perfect. The facility is very clean, very secure, and surprisingly very quiet. I'm 66 years old so I booked a single room. It was spare, but very comfortable. The staff are extremely pleasant and helpful. A full breakfast is included in the charge. It was a very busy time of the year (around Dia de los Muertos) so there were plenty of others staying there. And I met some of the nicest people from all over the world. I highly recommend Casa

Wonderful atmosphere, helpful staff, great if small rooms. Each bed has a reading light -at least in the 3 bed dormitorio- and a clean and well equipped kitchen. Add to that a diverse crowd of travellers, a roof top terrace and you have a great stay! You can be quiet or social, this hostel offers it all. Plus it is walking distance to all the major downtown sights. I can only recommend it.
One of the best I've stayed at in years. Wonderful, clean and relatively chill hostel. Front desk staff very helpful. Crowd was not a heavy part crowd, but the best kind of fellow travelers. A little more mature, well traveled, and intellectually curious about the city that surrounded them. I had a great time with the others I met here going to Monte Alban, and grabbing lunch/dinner every day.
If you do not intend sleeping that's your hostel! If you are very lucky you will not have the problems that I had. The hostel has not structure for avoiding noisy. Walls between rooms are like paper, you can hear everything. After going to bed late I was awaken for people who arrived talking very loud at the living room about midnight...

My stay over the weekend in Oaxaca in Casa Angel was fantastic. Location, staff, atmosphare and cleanliness, everything was great. I definitely come back to this hostel the next time I'm in Oaxaca.
Great breakfast for a hostel. They prepare the eggs the way you want! Also this was the cleanest hostel I've ever stayed!
From the moment I arrived the staff were welcoming, knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. I was in a 3-dorm. My bed was comfortable. Other travelers were friendly. Showers were good and clean. WCs are well ventilated which means nearby guests can hear someone get sick in the night. Road is noisy so front door is kept shut. Only negatives I can think of. Recommend.
Good location. Easy to walk around. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms were clean. Lovely rooftop area to chill out and have a few drinks and meet other travelers. Breakfast included. Would recommend.
We have stayed twice at Casa Angel, and we will definitely stay again every time we visit Oaxaca, the staff is very friendly and helpful . great value for money, nice rooms, and very nice atmosphere. We really like Casa angel and recommend it as a nice place to stay in Oaxaca :)
I had the best breakfast of my past 10 months trip at Casa. Wonderful rooftop lounge. Had a really great time.
This is the cleanest hostel I have ever stayed in! Brilliant location and friendly staff - I would highly recommend it!
Nice, clean place ten-minute walk from the city center. Free filtered drinking water, three guest computers, and generous breakfast (including nice ladies to make you eggs if that's what you choose). Great view from the rooftop terrace!
Nice hostel. Location was a little bit of a walk from the center of town, but not too bad. The Ado bus station is a short walk away as well. Breakfast was a bit small, but it was nice that it was free. The facilities were very clean. They do raise their prices during the festival in July.
clean and efficient, everything you'd expect from a great hostel. totally recomendable!
The hostel is well located with the zoccalo and santo dominico walking distance. It has a great rooftop where you can chill out, play your own music and have a few drinks (you can byo from shop across the road) The 4 bedroom dorm we stayed in was roomy and had ample sized lockers. Hot water for showers was only on 8-10am and 8-10pm which was fine and you never had to wait for a shower. The breakfast was awesome, eggs, toast, cereal and fruit, juice and coffee.
Good, laid back hostel. Clean place with good beds. Location is a bit of a walk from the main square, but not too bad. There's better values out there for sure, but I didn't feel like moving around. Not much of an atmosphere. There was a barbecue one day, but I went to check it out and there were only 2 people there aside from staff. Good place to get to rest.
A comfy hostel in a quite area, within easy walking distance of the everything in the city. The staff are friendly, helpful and available 24hours a day. The hostel also boasts its own large roof terrace with excellent views of the city. The included breakfast is also better than other hostels do provide.
