This was a great place to stay as I'd been in the general neighborhood before and wanted something close. The prices are going up soon so the value won;t be quite as good but I think I'd still stay here. Having helpful bilingual staff is a plus. Although I am a vegan, I could see the breakfast was very nice and well liked by everyone. it would be ok to see some granola and maybe a non dairy milk if it is feasible.
i arrived on 11/7 and iḿ still here.in no uncertain terms this is the best hostel i have stayed while in mexico.all the excellent votes are well deserved
Great hostel in a great city. Clean rooms, super helpful staff, great atmosphere, delicious breakfast, and beautiful terrace. I'd definitely recommend staying here.
nice Hostal! Just a place to stay! Definitely recommended
Great place to stay for el Dia de los Muertos! Nice hostel. Delicious eggs for breakfast.
I'd a great stay here! lots of info & activities, lovely staff and very easy to meet others
Loved this hostel. We stayed a week over Day of the Dead festival. Clean rooms, excellent breakfast (cook you eggs how you like it, cereal, juice, bread, coffee). Very helpful staff and great atmosphere with roof top bar. Highly recommend
Casa Angel is probably the best hostel I have ever stayed in! Never have I stayed in such a cheap hostel that has two lovely women cook your eggs for you just the way you like along with fruit, cereal, pan, chill, coffee, the lot. I stayed in the dorm room, it was super cheap and awesome. Own bed lamps and lockers. Always super clean with the best shower I had in Guatemala. Thanks so much to everyone at the front desk. Super helpful with lots of info. Check out quepasaoaxaca. Get website!
Had a great stay! Conny and the guys at reception are lovely. The info board is also quite unique with great info about the town, updated daily! Had a private room on the ground floor, which was small but ok. The roof terrace is amazing. Just 2 things: - Breakfast stops at 10 am sharp. There was never any coffee left at 10.01, which was a bummer every morning. Never had breakfast, as I was always a few minutes too late. - The shower situation from 8-10 am+pm is weird and restrictive.
Really friendly and helpful staff, great location with an awesome terrace. Would definitely reccomed.
I couldn't fault this hostel in any way. The attention to detail was amazing. All the staff were brilliant, friendly, warm and generous. It was meticulously clean at all times. I would never stay anywhere else in Oaxaca and will recommend this hostel throughout my travels. Well done Casa Angel, thank you for everything, I will be back, Cheri
This was a really sociable hostel, with a great roof terrace. I would definitely recommend it

Really nice hostel. Exceptionally clean and well designed. Good breakfasts, hot water, lots of info, great location, and very friendly. Highly recommended.
Great staff. Very clean. Spacious rooms. Breakfast cooked for you with nice bread. Great social areas. Recommend to groups AND people travelling alone!
Great outdoor area to meet other travelers and have a beer in the bar. Really close to the center of town and close to several supermarkets.
Casa Angel provides all the facilities you need. Conny and her staff are super helpful and nice. They'll tell you where to go and how to do it. Wifi throughout the hostel; hot water from 8-10am and 8-10pm. Emy and Ade make breakfast with an amazing fresh salsa included every morning. Good size lockers that fit my 46 liter bag with a little room left over. As a single woman traveling, I felt totally safe in Oaxaca. After moving on from Casa Angel, I miss the vibe there.
Everything about this hostel is great.
This hotel was just about perfect: so well organised and friendly too.
