Room smelt a little from the bathroom- that and there were plumbing issues which sounded like someone was hitting the pipe every two seconds at 2am until it was turned off. Apart from that, all good.

Great place in a great location. Super helpful staff and yummy breakfast.
Good place with a nice atmosphere, great breakfast and a very good early check in.
Lovely hostel with a great breakfast. Ideal location. Was a bit noisy at night, the door bell kept going off with people coming in and out. It would be better if people had front door keys. Lovely roof top garden area and in a good location. Staff are very helpful
The common area tv is in an awkward location with the door constantly opening and people talking to staff, the netflix was good but pointless as you couldn't hear the TV. There was also no kettle so you couldn't make your own tea or coffee in the evening. The room floor appeared quite dirty though it could have been the type of tiles.
Nice looking hostel and super clean and new. Cool rooftop terrace which had an iPod connection and charger so you could play music. Good breakfast and decent wifi. Atmosphere was a bit sterile but I guess it depends who is staying there when you are there. Would recommend for a couple of nights as it is only a short walk to restaurants and bars.
Really nice hostel with really really nice staff! Amazing breakfast and great showers!
Spent two nights at Casa Angel and had a good time. Staff is friendly, rooms and common spaces are clean and organized, and hostel rules are very clear. Breakfast has international and Mexican options, which is pretty rare to find in hostels focused on international travellers. Hot shower is only available from 8-10am and 8-10pm, but they will turn it on at a different time if you ask for. I had to ask both days so I could leave for tours in the morning. Breakfast is also from 8-10am.
Very friendly staff, very clean hostel. Definately worth it. Breakfast is good, but exactly the same every day. For those that don´t eat eggs and beans is not that good.
Had a mint stay at casa angel. First off the staff here are friendly as. Made sure we had everything we needed. Breakfast here is top notch!! Eggs from their own free range chickens, yum. Had a bbq here on a Sunday, was awesome. Meet heaps of cool travellers, we all got together and shared tips. The roof top hang out area is great, you can be social or just chill. Good location from the main square and to the main tourist walk, 5-10mins to walk most places. Cleaned everyday. Top place to stay
A really lovely hostel with GREAT staff who really take the time to talk to you. They were undergoing some construction works while we were there so not as atmospheric always as I would have liked but I am sure it will be finished soon! Thank you!
Great hostel! Great breakfast and friendly staff.
Modern and clean hostel with friendly and helpful staff. The rooftop deck is pretty nice too.
Great breakfast. Very clean. Easy access to centro area. Would stay again.
Awesome staff! They were very friendly and helpful. Beautiful roof and a great, full breakfast. Only thing that could be added would be more hostel led activities.
The staff here is amazingly friendly! They really know the city and are able to give accurate information about travel distances and travel costs. They keep a daily updated chalkboard of events happening in and near the city along with a list of, "Things to Try in Oaxaca." The rooms and bathrooms are very clean. And having eggs for breakfast was a great start to the day (thank you chefs!). The location is great, with 2 convenience stores nearby and walking distance to many markets and the zocalo
Smart dorms are clean and tidy. The door is always locked, but during the day staff are attentive to guests coming back. Hot, made to order eggs along with the usual cereal, fruit, and coffee.
This is a very clean and friendly hostel. The location is also very central, only a few walking minutes from the socalo/ center and the best location to go to the Guelaguetza dances in July which take place in the Auditorium nearby. Free breakfast is served by local nice ladies and varied. We can definitely recommend this hostel!
