I've mixed feelings about the place. Location's not on Charles Darwin which is where it's happening. However it's not far either with a 1.5 block zig zag walk. How the place's run is bit dodgy. The owner locks up his main gate so you need to get his attention from the outside. Keys are iffy to handle. Room's surprisingly nice and comfortable. Got in a brouhaha where owner's wife presumed I left 3rd day into 4 days bookings and stuck someone else in. I'm glad my passport and money wasn't stolen.

I will recommend Casa Germania. It is located in a nice quiet street very close from the downtown and pier. The owners are very nice. The room has AC, bathroom, and also color TV. I liked there!

el hostal estaba cerrado cuando llegue no habia quien atendiera, llame a los numeros indicados pero nadie atenida, puse un mesanje de correo a la direccion que aparecia espere media hora, como no llegaba nadie regrese dos horas despues y seguia cerrado, así que me fui a buscar otro hostel, recibi un mensaje varias horas despues en la que el admnistrador me decia que ya estaba abierto el hostal pero ya habia encontrado otro así que no me hospede alli

Incredibly clean. In the hot weather of Santa Cruz it was a nice option to have an air-conditioned room. The owner is wonderful and friendly. Most of all ... it has the fastest internet speeds on the island (better even than the internet cafes). I wouldn\'t think twice about staying any place else when I return.
