If you're traveling solo to Medellin look no further. Awesome hostel, great people, location, and awesome lounge areas - everything you could want.
Great location and beautiful hostel. Well laid out and nice facilities. Unfortunately found it to be full of people partying nonstop, and that kind of ruined the experience for me. Not necessarily the hostel's fault, but they definitely are lax when it comes to who is coming in and out.
Great relaxing environment in a great neighborhood. Nice for relaxing or mingling!
Clean bathrooms, kitchen & rooms! Great lounge & bar area. Fantastic location.
The place atmosphere is just great, there is a lot of backpackers but also short termn travelings, even a family with their little girl. If you feel like staying, there is enough space for you to decide what to do and make some friends at the same time, pool table, a little but very comfortable tv room, a hamacas space in the top, and a terrace in front. Really great and complete.

The actual hostel is great, fantastic location and great hammock area and roof terrace with pool. It's a shame though because with a bit of effort it could have been so much more. The bar area and downstairs terrace are never used and most of the staff were useless (couldn't grasp simple concepts like extending my stay). The bar man would sit on his phone instead of getting drinks (maybe why it was empty). You end up just going out to the hostel around the corner when you want to go out.
Bar was closed when it was supposed to be open, kitchen was closed when it was supposed to be open. Drinks were expensive at the bar when it was open.
Very kind and helpful staff. I loved that they offer a nice bike tour (paid, though). But, they could not offer breakfast.
What an amazing hostel with amazing people. The vibe here is fantastic. The staff if great, and the place is super clean. Great location too. Everyone who comes here from other hostels says it's the best one they've been to in the city.

Excellent location in Poblado, easily walking distance to the parks and bars, but far enough away so you can actually sleep if you want. Rooftop patio has some gorgeous views of Medellin and is a good hang-out/gathering spot. Private rooms are clean, good sized and have balconies off them. Nothing fancy but very functional. Did not eat at the restaurant, but heard from other travelers that the food was pretty good as well. Staff is helpful in getting tours, group trips , etc. set up if needed.
It's a lovely hostel, but playing slow horrible jazz music at night is a terrible idea. Young travellrs don't want that, and I can guarantee if you played something more up beat, your bar sales would increase, while still promoting a chilled out hostel
We originally planned on staying only 2 nights, but decided to stay 4 because it was the flower festival in Medellin and casa kiwi is dope. They easily accomodated our additional request with no problems. Its a big hostel but it doesn't feel like that, because there are many floors. The top deck pool area is a chillin hang out zone. Plus the staff is super friendly and helpful. Shout out to Angelo for almost taking us to party town. You won't regret your stay here.
Great location and nice rooftop. But, I booked a 8 person dorm got a 12 person dorm. Not enough plugs to charge phones. No reading lights. No windows in the dorm room, not enough ventilation, the room smells very bad in the morning.
Very well equipped hostel (hammock area, rooftop terrace even with a small pool) right in the centre of El Poblado, where all the other hostels and bars are. The area is very safe at least what I witnessed. The only bad thing is that you have to go to other places/hostels if you want to book some tours. The only thing they offer is a bike tour. But as the other hostels are very close that shouldn't be a problem.
I had a great time in Casa Kiwi, even though I didn't stay longer than 3 days I slept in a comfortable room with a shared toilet which was clean most of the time. I also requested to stay another night in high season and they had no problem with tha
It's a great place located a short walk from Parque lleras. There are tons of bathrooms which are cleaned often by the staff.. It has plenty a room in the communal areas to hang out with other travelers and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The roof top area is really pretty as well.
Overall a very nice hostel with a lot of nice people. The facilities are very nice with a lot of chillout areas - specially the little pool at the rooftop and the hammock area are nice. There is a fully equipped kitchen where you can cook yourself. The sorrounding area couldn't be better and it's so close to everything you need.
Very good hostel overall. Many common areas (large tables on the first floor, hammocks on the third, pool + sofa on the rooftop) and very clean overall. Staff is friendly and OK helpful. Kitchen is quite big, clean, new and very complete. Atmosphere is relaxed, not crazy partying. Unfortunately my room was small, humid and messy/dirty. Lockers are small. The fridge was not working throughout my whole stay (3 days, 2 nights). Don't know if they bothered repairing it.
