The staff was very unwelcoming. I usually get along very well at hostels but for some reason everybody was super uninviting. I said hello to three different groups of people without one response. After that they could all kiss my ass. Usually when you say hi to someone they respond in some way shape or form. The place was fairly clean and seemed to be a pothead paradise. If that is how you roll then this would be the perfect place for you.

Hands down - The best hostel I've stayed in South America. Seen 5 hostels in Medellin - Casa Kiwi is by far the best. Awesome design, great "chillout" spots, rooftop pool, seems to draw a really cool mixed crowd. Perfectly Located next to Zona Rosa / Parque Lleiras - Good bar, good music, great staff. Multiple washrooms, working PCs, clean - I honestly have not one negative thing to say about Casa Kiwi. Overall this place was awesome. BOOK IT. don't bother looking for another hostel in Medellin

Loved this hostel! Staff was great, perfect atmosphere and great facilities. The beds were amazing and the bathrooms clean. The location couldn't be better. Only complain they close the common areas at 1 am.

Pilar was great! Although she sometimes could use some extra help, for instance from the barguys, who were definitely less service oriented. Overall a nice place I'd recommend everyone.

Wonderfull tropical style house (but: not so the older left part of building: dorms, beds and baths just average). In my 4 days there got the idea thats it a typical gringo party place,: Hangin around gringos on fun tourism ,don t expect a cultural hostel. But I still recomend the hostel, because, if you don t like the crowd that much, you ll find a lot of beauitiful quiet places in hostel to escape them (roof terrasse, nice 'corners'). Cleaners do a good job
