No lockers in the room, toilets weren't that clean (no toilet paper, ...) and the deposit I paid before for the booking wasn't deducted from the total price.
Showers had hot water, but had very little water pressure. The room had no power outlets. Internet did not work for me. Breakfast is basic. Sparse heating.Of course you can't beat the price. Staff is very friendly and can also arrange tours, bus tickets. The hostel is a little difficult to find, but in the center
Don't seem to believe in providing toilet paper, no hot water, room smelled bad even after leaving the windows open all all day. Front door always locked, nobody there to open it most of the time. Breakfast room has 3 tables so not enough room for everyone. Stay at Koala den instead!
This hostel has no lockers. Also, there is low water pressure in the showers. The beds are amazingly comfortable though. The bathrooms were perpetually without toliet paper. This is a good hostel that could be a great hostel with a few small changes.
Nice beds in a very nice and roomy building. There weren't many guests when I was there so it was very quiet, but after the craziness of Koala Den where I couldn't sleep more than 2 hours per night, it was a lovely change! WiFi was working good, showers were warm, breakfast was just ok.
Not recommended : cold, noisy, no hot water until 9 am (at least)(due to the absence of thermal isolation around the water circuit...), 1 little bread to eat for the breakfast (alledgedly due to the inhability of the baker to deliver more), gas circuit for heating of bedrooms in construction with an old fashionnd method for sealing, strange gas smell in the vicinity of a heater in a lounge... We went away after 1 night, next day in another hostel we met other groups of people who did the same !
The people here really make the place. Potosi is famous for its mines- and when we were staying at vicuña there was a team of miners from la Paz staying there for free for a football tournament- they are really into social responsibility and the mine tour that Jenny organised for me was really authentic, with a former miner whose insight into the mining cooperatives was completely real- not just put on for tourists. The hostel itself is average- hot showers, beds fine, but the people are amazing
No atmosphere and lack of social space to get to know others, still a decent hostel but nothing compared to the Koala Den round the corner which we moved to almost straight away. I would recommend staying there!
This hostel was a good surprise, we didint expected to be this good. Five minutes away from the main square, awesome beds., clean bathrooms. It was really nice.
Im never write here but this hostel push me to write of this. The breakfast is very poor. Havent wi fi. Havent PCs. The bathroom is very cold. Havent heating (calefaccion)
Excellent hostel, very close to the main square. Book your mine tours from here no problem. But as other people have mentioned sometimes, while the owners are great and very helpful the day staff can seem a bit distracted or generally not interested, plus there is only wi-fi, no PC's. Big comfy beds though!
