We didn t stay in this hostel finally. As we arrived from uyuni in the night, we made a reservacion on hostelworld in giving the precision that we are going to arrive at 1AM. When we arrived, we rang at the bell during 25 minutes expecting someone to open the door. It neer appen and we were obliged to search another one at 2 AM. The day after, the receptionist of the hostel just explained us that he was sleepping.

Pleasant hostel with restaurant attached selling set lunches. Though is an absolute ghost town, there was only me and another couple in the entire hostel. This did mean a dorm to myself which was made a nice change.

We loved our stay at La Vicuna. Antonio was very accommodating when we arrived at 6am allowing us to check in and sleep immediately. We did the silver mine tour with him and it was fantastic. We`d highly recommend. The set lunches were great value in the courtyard restaurant but breakfast were basic. All in all a great stay!

Our double room was rather small, perhaps better to stay in the dorms as the beds looked huge and comfortable. We had to ask for the wifi to be switched on and it only worked in the common area. Staff were pleasant and nice. There was constant spraying of air freshener to cover up bad smells. Electricity kept switching off. I had to go to the toilet in the pitch darkness in the middle of the night. Toilets not particularly clean.

Only stayed for a one night stopover, perfectly fine. Comfortable warm beds and clean bathrooms. Internet was iffy and the staff could have been a bit more helpful, but it was just fine for a quick trip.

Hostel was ok very dirty especially the bathrooms and dont think the sheets had been washed in a while. Good central location and staff were friendly. Also we arrived early in the morning and room wasnt ready so they let us stay in an empty dorm room until ready which was fantastic after a long bus trip!

the beds were nice. the location is good. The only problem is that it is really hard to find the staff and they never open the door. So we were waiting in front for a really long time before one of the guest opened the door. We found out that they were just sitting in the office and from there it is really easy to hear the people outside. So they were just ignoring is, This was really anoying.

We stayed her for 2 nights, the manager is nice, but strange. You don´t get a key to the door, but there is a possiblity to walk tru an alley and enter over there the hostel, so everybody can! There were times that that was closed and that the manager was in his office but refused to open the door for guests!!! Breakfast ladys where nice, showers where hot and the beds are new and warm.

This hostel was ok.The receptionist speaks no english which isn't great for an international hostel so checking in wasn't that easy. The room and the entire hostel was freezing cold,so thankfully the showers were hot.It didn't look as though the bathrooms were cleaned often. You had to pay an additional fee to use the kitchen, but granted not very much. The location was good. The breakfast included was standard(bread and jam)but served late.An ok hostel but I wouldn't stay again.

But would stay here again for sure

Generally a nice setting around the courtyard. Friendly staff and a nice little well equipped kitchen. Bed must have been the most comfortable i have slept on in South America. Thick and wide mattress. Down side is they did not have someone permanently on the door and the door was sometime on the latch so it was possible for people to walk in but is should be noted that the weekdays they do have someone. 6 bed dorm have glass doors where light shines through making it hard to sleep.

Decent stay but they had serious problems with the check-ins. At first they wanted us to wait 3 hours for our room, we arrived at 4PM, because someone was still in there. The breakfast was decent though and the beds large and warm. .

Very nice people working there, and you can do the mine tour with Antonio which was excellent. No lockers, breakfast was standard with bread, jam and coffee. Not much space to hang out, and the wifi only works when they have their computer on. Average hostal but with very comfortable beds.

If you need a place with wifi, don´t trust this place to deliver. Also I know Potosi is not the warmest city, but I was freezing my a... off, all the time spend in the huespedes. If you´re looking for a bed and other very basics, go for it.

Godd hostel. Great location, with warm water (something very important in Potosí) and staff very helpful. The tour to the mines was fantastic, and Antonio is a very nice guide.

Just good enough hostel. Cold at nights, wifi mostly did not work, one day we didn't get breakfast because they were empty. Beds are big and quite comfy though.
