Great location and great rooms. Enjoyed having my own balcony. It is pretty awkward that it is also some people's permanent homes. Our room was connected with an old couple's living room. Didn't see that coming.

Typical family hostel. It seems the whole family lives in the hostel, you can see all of the family members around the house and in the photos in the living room.It is in the exact centre of Madrid,on one hand it is convenient, but on the other,it is really noisy at night, and never stops. All of the receptionists who I assume to be the family members are quite nice, but there was only one incident-One night, I requested one extra towel, the man didn't undersand ingles and requested me to pay 1.50eu

Living room is very nice, my room is a bit small. But in general, I think everything is clean and convenient, the family members are quite nice also.

The good: Right in the heart of the action & well maintained The not as good: A family lives in the same unit as the hostel, and our room was right next to their living room, so we felt like we had to stay particularly quiet. Also, the windows are not particularly soundproof, and there's a lot of noise in the street - light sleepers might have some trouble (at least in our room).
