I actually live in NYC. I had to stay here while I was in between apartments. It's in a great location. The staff are so nice and helpful. My room was cleaned when I asked for it to be cleaned. I would stay here again if needed.

Santos is a sweetheart! He is friendly, helpful, funny and does everything in his power to make you feel welcomed, save and comfortable. He knows his way around and is very helpful when it comes to sight-seeing, where to eat and where to party. I absolutely love this guy and would definitely go back at any time! Don't believe the comments which say that the water in the shower is cold and that the rooms are cold! It's the perfect place to stay in NY!

No HOT water...I tried about three different times throughout the day for hot water and there was none. The staff was very helpful when you first arrived they highlighted stuff on the map...close to metro stop, about 30 min to downtown...okey for the price if your just going to sleep, not an easy place to meet people...only microwave for "kitchen", would not recommend because there is no hot water...good wifi

Went with my girlfriend for 12 days, Santos, the owner, wait for us until 12:00 am, so that was nice. We spend little time in hostel, and thats what we had planned, not recommendable if you want to have a dinner or meet people in there. The one thing that had me troubled, its that there's no lock in the windows, but fortunately we didnt get stolen. We had a peaceful time walking to the central park, that is a few blocks away, and the subway is about 2 or 3 blocks. After all, we would come agai

Really enjoyed my stay here. Santos is a great guy and the rooms are small but homey and come with pleanty of 'Criminal Minds' and the Food channel. I would definitely recommend it to solo travelers. It kind of feels like your own place while exploring the city. 9 out of 10

Very dirty place. My room didn't had curtains, so I had to put a blanket instead, the window lock didn't work and the room was extremely cold because the radiator worked sporadically. Didn't feel safe in my room given that the window remained unlocked all the time and didn't feel safe in the neighborhood. It's very cheap for close-in Manhattan, and the staff is very nice and friendly. I didn't have any problems during my stay, but I wouldn't stay there again.
