This is not a hostel, the "twin" room turned out to be one room with a small, very dirty kitchen and a double bed. When we were paying each for the room, it was ridiculous to have only one bed and we were told this was "normal" when we highlighted the problem. The overall clendliness was absolutely disgusting and the shower was hanging off the wall. NOT good value for money at all.

The attendant was very helpful and friendly, and it it is very close to the subway and Central Park, but I think needs more care and cleaning to the bathrooms.

Fantastic location - Trains just around the corner, 3 blocks from Central Park, 100 yds from a great restaurant and takeaways. A gym offering free entry (for a week), a block away. I had a d/bed, kitchenette with cooker/fridge/freezer/microwave, local supermarket close. Security - You've got an outer building door on a strong lock back and working CCTV in the halls. The staff (father and daughter) were both helpful and professional. I had no complaints

bad: ridiculously small and dirty "bathrooms", no Wi-Fi, no facilities (kitchen for example), broken blinds, no A/C (not needed at the time but offered in the hostel description). good: very nice staff (but reception almost always closed), nice neighborhood with cafés and restaurants and close to the center of Manhattan (by train); private room for a reasonable price

The people who owned it were very friendly and any problems were taken care of as soon as possible. The lock on the door did not function properly and the heating was an issue but these were fixed quickly. Great location for the price.

This hostel has a good location near the Centrak Park and 5th avenue, that makes the place attractive to tourists who want to discover the city center and not overpay for the place to sleep. The subway station is just in 3 minutes walking. The personal was really friendly, they gave me a map and shawn all the places to visit around. This is a cheapest place i managed to find in the city center. One thing - room was not very clean and a bit dark, that's the only thing I'd love to improve. Thanks!

location is good.I was 10 days and were able to give more or towel, or to replace them at least once. Connection to Downtown is great.
