I was very pleased with my stay here. This hostel is perfect to relax and have a wonderful time. The weather was the best.

This hostel had a good vibe, but HORRIBLE smell in the rooms. The pillows smell so bad it is hard to sleep. It made all our clothes smell. A friend got bed bugs in one of the dorm rooms. You can go there in the evenings for the party, but I and many of the people we met there could not wait to leave because of the rooms. Also rooms were so damp that nothing ever dried!

It's just like living in paradise, very soothing and relaxing. You won't wanna leave this place.

Me and my friends had a horrible experience. I would never suggest this place for anyone. It never happened before! We had problems with the security: strange people got into our private bedroom. It is a dirty hostel, the bedrooms are very poors. The staff had no experience,. The place is dirty and have problems with the lights, the water, internet and an annoying sound for two nights... The best quality and the only one is the view from the deck. The breakfast is good. Have a good luck!

No recomiendo este hostal, si bien habia un buen ambiente en cuanto a las personas que se encuentran alojadas.. el personal tenia un muy mal trato, el hostal muy sucio, internet no funcionaba nunca, no dejaban muchas veces usar la cocina..etc.. mala experiencia..

Amazing landscapes, loved the terrace.

Toilets were dirty, playing spice girls and other cheesy music all day in the common room when there is so much good Brazilian music! overpriced and not very homely.

Awesome deck overlooking the sea and great location... right by one of the piers! Cramped rooms but that's normal in South American hostels :) Lovely BBQ too... Ilhe Grande is amazing and this us a great place to experience it from!

Awesome location! Having free breakfast on the beautiful deck overlooking the ocean was my favourite part of the day.

This hostel was as good as I'd thought it was gonna be. Relaxed environment, drink in my hand, smooth music, doesn't get better than this.

Hard to find the good time to have a hot shower. Someone got into my room, tried to use my phone but blocked it. Staff tried to help but they had no international calls and the power was down. Only one computer for the whole hostel, so be prepared to wait. Deck view is nice.

The dorms and linen were unclean. There was a new cockroach in our bathroom every morning. The windows didn´t shut. The computer was in a dingey area. The staff would get drunk with the guests and consequently there would be nobody to man the reception desk the following morning. The breakfasts were also rubbish.

Relaxing environment, simple and lots of fun.

We were very disappointed with this hostel. It is pretty pricey but was a massive let down in every respect. The place was filthy, and we actually left half way through our stay because there were bed bugs all over our room. We were staying in a private room and never received any towels despite asking three times. The breakfast was average at best - stale watermelon, orange squash and stale cereal. Despite being a party hostel, we actually found the place pretty dry, even though it was full.

Excellent booking, I loved this place.

The hostel is very noisy all the day, so, you can't rest or enjoy the place. It is like a holiday camp with party each evening. There are stray dogs outside and they sometime pissed on the chairs. One night, a girl in my room vomited, i informed the staff but they didnt clean anything until the next morning ... The only good thing is that the hostel is directly located on the beach.

Che Lagarto is located right on the beach and the location is great for sitting in the sunshine. Its a little bit of a walk into the town across the beach and the main entrance to the hostel is in an alleyway behind the hostel. The interior of this hostel is run down and dirty. The kitchen stinks and has extremely basic facilities for cooking. The rooms are extremely basic and the beds are uncomfortable. The social side of Che lagarto is great and the hostel organise nights out all week.

I have a very funny time at the hostel. I didn´t like that the bar closes too early and you can´t buy a wather. The staffs are nice but they don´t care a lot for the clients. O lugar tem um astral incrível e é ótimo para quem quer animação. O esquema de organização é meio confuso e fiquei trancada para fora do meu quarto por algumas horas até alguém resolver. A limpeza deixa a desejar, porém trata-se de um hostel a beira mar, o que justifica um pouco a sujeita. Recomendo e ficaria novamente l
