We are located in the centre of the Vila do Abraao just 400 meters from the tourist docks and a stones throw away from the local supermarkets, bars and restaurants. We offer a 4 bed dorm with shared bathroom and Air conditioning, a 5 bed mixed dorm with private bathroom, 7 bed mixed dorm with private bathroom and Air conditioning, a private room with a shared bathroom and a ensuite double room with a view of our garden. The private rooms are both kitted out with mosquito nets, air conditioning and fans and the dorms are equiped with mosquito nets, individual lockers, fans, a mosquito net adn plug sockets for each bed.
Balaio Hostel Ilha Grande is made up of 2 houses with our open and spacious kitchen acting as the heart of the hostel, our garden, thriving with trees, plants and birds offering communal space with hammocks and a campfire, a bamboo structure with more hammocks, spacious Kitchen with a view of the garden and cinema screen.

*There are no ATM's at Ilha Grande
*Take the Yellow Fever vaccine at least 10 days before arriving
*Ask us for discount to stay in Mambembe Hostel in Rio de Janeiro.
