The atmosphere was superb, the whole building and view were outstanding. The bathrooms smelled odd and there were a few broken handles and things around the building. The staff is awesome. I don't know how much of this is normal for hostels, but I felt bad without soap after going to the bathroom. Its great that they have a kitchen and wifi. I seriously had a religious experience in my private room.

There are much better places than this. The bathrooms were DISGUSTING. The shower consisted of a spray nozzle in the wall and there was no divider between toilet and "shower" so water got everywhere. The dorm room was crowded with a dim light. Wifi only worked on the main level and not in the rooms. Luggage storage was unsecured and consisted of bags piled in a side hallway. On the plus side, the roof is nice and has a good view of al-Aqsa mosque and the wall and is in front of the market.

Helpful and friendly staff. Clean hostel with character. Great location and excellent views from the roof over the Old City. Stayed in two different dorms. One was a tight and had too many beds in the room. The other was much more comfortable. I would recommend the place which was full of friendly people.

It was a good location. It was close to the action yet peaceful and private. There were a lot of people staying there but it never felt crowded. The staff were friendly and gave us free use of a heater, but were laid back and never over-helpful or pushy. Good character. Memorable.

awesome location inside the old town, beautiful view from the roof, very friendly and funny staff, nice lobby and commons places with wifi. only very cold during the winter, you can rent a heater for 20nis/night but its really small one, so i recommend warm clothes.

This property was probably renovated some years ago, but its falling apart now due to poor workmanship. I booked a room with its on toilet and bath, but you don`t have any privacy since the walls are paper thin. There are no heaters so it gets cold. The windows are just for show, because they open inside the property, and you won`t get any fresh air. There is no concept of room service. Its not a clean place! One tip Jerusalem is a small city so you can stay anywhere, everything is nearby!

Very good location, 5 min from the Temple Mount. The view from the rooftop is amazing, especially in the morning. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the facilities are okay. The character of the place was a bit creepy for me, but that is a matter of personal taste. Not really a place to hang around with others, the common areas are mostly for using the wifi and watching tv.

I had a good stay here at Citadel, but I did end up with bites all over me. I do not believe that it was from bed bugs in my room but rather on the couches in the communal areas which is problimatic since it is the only place you can get wifi. Other wise a lovely stay
