The happiest staff I've ever met.all of them were amazing Emma,Andrei and Elmar.Location was great.showers can be though at times cause it's not proportionate to the number of rooms.
We stayed in a 3 bed private room with shared barhroom facilities. The room was TINY and this is the only thing i have to critisize because it was a room for one and they put a bunk bed in the opposite wall. The bathrooms were very clean at all times, but sometimes you had to wait a bit to use them if the hostel was full. The location is great, the breakfast very good, the bar is very fun and there is a good atmosphere. I would recommend this place and i would also go back.
The hostel was in an excellent location nearby to all of the things that you want to see in Copenhagen. The walking tour that picks people up from the hostel is also rather good. The atmosphere is very lively and social with the free dinner and happy hour in the bar. However, the bathrooms were not ideal. They were very dirty and in many of the showers there was nowhere to put your things without them getting soaked. Hangers or shelves would be a really nice addition.
Room didn't have a locker, shelves, was missing the light from my bed only, and looked like it hadn't been updated in at least 20 years. The storage that I had to PAY for, which was free for every other room that had lockers in them, was in a separate building, down two very small tight and awkward sets of stairs. The girl at the desk was extremely rude when I pointed out how that made no sense. I had been up for nearly 40 hours traveling, she was anything but pleasant, not worth it.
Staff well informed and very helpful. Quite noisy with the bar downstairs. Rooms pleasant but very small.
Friendly and helpful staff but over priced for accommodations. Outside noise untill late hours and unclean, outdated bathrooms leave much to be desired.

The rooms are not so big, but ok and clean. The bathrooms are individual :) but sometimes can be not so clean.... The bar and café are amazing! :)
The location is great, close to central station many shops. I found the staff outstanding and very helpful. They could use a few more showers. The Kitchen was always very clean. Maureen
Simply the most amazing hostel we've ever been in. The room (triple ensuite) was small but clean, additional clean and nice bathrooms in the hallway. The best thing is defintily the bar and common room, where you can have free dinner and you always find someone to talk to. Atmosphere and location were unbeatable, staff is very supportive and friendly. You can also hire bikes and free I Pads at the reception. Simple a great value for money, central hostel to enjoy your stay in Copenhagen!!
Great place. Good bar and clean rooms. The dinner is hard to come by but it's still a good deal. Location is great and the staff are always willing to help out.
The rooms were clean and the linen fresh. It was great. The staff were delightful. Also the breakfast was very good esp. since they brought in fresh baked bread. I wish I could have rated the breakfast five stars right then and there! But I didn't realize that the hostel doubled as a bar. That's not a bad thing per say. The one annoying thing was when huge groups of students took up all the bar seating at once. I suspect many of 'em weren't even staying at the hotel (i.e. friend of a friend.)
Fantastic hostel, accommodated me over several nights, stayed in several rooms. Big hostel, great atmosphere. Highly recommend.
Don't have much to add to the comments of other just that I agree - its a great hostel and the staff/owners have thought of pretty much everything. Had an amazing time, its the perfect location.
I thought this was a great hostel, probably the best in Copenhagen. I stayed at another hostel for my first two nights in CPH (Sleep in Heaven) and it pales in comparison to CPH Downtown Hostel. The happy hour at the bar is a great value and great way to meet new people. Dorms were comfortable, showers kept relatively clean, and the security/location were top-notch. One thing to note: cleaning ladies strictly enforce check-out time, so don't expect to sleep in super late on your departure day!
I had a great stay it's a very social hostel I made allot of new friends here, staff were really helpful and friendly too and the walking tour was great make sure you do them! down sides were it was really loud at night time, wifi didn't work in the rooms and the kitchen had no chopping boards or spatulas.
The staff were fab, they are so busy yet treat each individual as if they are important. My only complaint,we stayed in an ensuite room, it smelled of stale sweat and beer. Also the pillows were old and lumpy, not even remotely comfortable, and they also smelled. While the hostel was not expensive, it was not cheap either, and we paid extra for the privilege of a private room. Decent pillows is not a big ask. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Copenhagen, thanks. ages 23 and 45

This is a hostel that tries to seel you eveything. From drinks, dinner and even breakfast. As they have an 'alcohol license' you cannot bring yours. A free dinner is offered but is very simple. You can buy 2x1 beers in the happy hour.
In terms of location and atmosphere this hostel is hard to beat - easy to meet people, great bar, great staff, location very close to the train station, breakfast very good value at 65DKR(£6.50) all you can eat. However they gets the basics wrong here - the beds are squeaky, top bunks do not have plug sockets so I couldn't charge my phone overnight, padlock didn't fit lockers, there are only two showers and one toilet on the entire 6th floor - I'd stay again, but there's room for improvement!
