This place is awesome - look at the pictures - it actually looks like that! We stayed in the one dorm room. The door was always left unlocked, but the hostel itself was very secure and there were lockers in the room. I felt I, and my stuff, was safe. The girl was very nice, and gave us towels because we didn't bring. The hostel is very cool and the beds were big! Everything was very clean and the people staying were nice, people seemed chattier, possibly because the hostel is small. Loved it!

Very nice hostel. Huge beds in the dorms! Easy enough to get into the city center, but not as good of a location as some other hostels. The cafe/theater downstairs is nice and usually pretty busy. Check-in is not until 3, though, which seems a bit late.

Perfect stay!

This hostel is the best I have ever lived. The Staffs are very nice as well! What fancy me most is the reading room with countless books, DVD on the shelf in which I can spend my whole night on reading and chatting with my lovely roommate. Furthermore, the bed is extraordinary huge to fit in my fat body and the share bathroom is clean enough too!! I definitely will choose the same place to live when I visit Cologne, once again.

Fantastic hostel, can't recommend it highly enough. The different themed rooms area really unique touch, and are very well decorated. The staff are fantastic, really genuinely friendly and happy to advise on things to do in and around the city. There is a cosy living room area with free tea and coffee which is a nice place to relax; the cafe-bar downstairs does good food and beers, and has a really good atmosphere. Best hostel we've stayed in, and Koln is a great city too.

Maybe the best hostel I've ever stayed in. A little curtain to every bed, and also a locker. They even have their own theater, which really amazed me. Not noisy, yet close to the night life area of Koln.

It's the best hostel I had ever stayed in! Very unique character, each room has its own theme. I stayed in the 8 bed dorms and I really loved it. The room was extremely clean, and you will be given your own locker (not those filthy iron one but a nicely decorated one) to store your stuff, it's big enough to hold a small suitcase so you don't have to worry about anything as long as you don't lose the key. Each bed has its own curtain and lamp so it gives privacy. Clean toilets, cosy common room.

It's hard to define Die Wohngemeinschaft, with its character-based rooms. It has only one collective bedroom, but it has by far the most spacious and private hostel beds I've stayed: roomy "cabinets", closed with curtains and with power outlet and reading light inside! Bathrooms are also well equipped and everything is very clean. The bar downstairs has good character and good local (Kölsch) beer, but was overcrowded sometimes (it is open to the public).

I thought the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Themed rooms were wonderful and the bar downstairs had a very hip atmosphere( Love the VW ) . We were lucky enough to be there for the local flea market in the downstairs space on a Sunday. Great experience all around and if I were returning to Cologne I would absolutely stay there again

I really liked the hostel - the curtains in the dorm give you some added privacy and the beds are pretty big! A pretty small place so there's not too many people around. The bar downstairs is pretty cool though. Would definitely recommend the hostel - great value for money, very clean and efficient.

The staff of the hostel were especially kind. I also liked the locked cabins for luggage (big and with your key) and the cafe-pub in ground floor, which always had nice atmosphere. Recommendable

Can't speak better of it. The staff was extra helpful from the first moment, the hotel is beautifully decorated, rooms and beds are big, the facilities are better than at some hotels, and and that price gives a huge value. Warm and colorful place to stay, and it also has a well known bar just downstairs.
