Mrs Lee is great. Relaxed vibe, met lots of travelers in the common room. Great air con. Miri is tiny so it is easy to walk around everywhere. Very close to imperial mall.

I think Dillenia is a fantastic guesthouse with lovely, helpful owners that do their utmost to ensure that you feel welcome, comfortable and have a wonderful stay. I wish I could have stayed longer there and would recommend it to anyone. It is clean, homely and has lovely little extras like homemade snacks and fruit that make it a cut above, all at a reasonable price.

The highlight of this place is Mrs.Lee, the owner. She is extremely helpful and can pretty much tell you anything about Malaysia, Borneo. The hostel is slightly hard to find but Miri is small and its not to hard to find anything, its just a little hidden. Only real down side would be Miri is really quite so not many backpackers, but thats not the hostels fault. OH and the free breakfast is a nice added bonus!

We really liked it here. Whenever we come back to Miri we'll stay here again. Our room was big and very clean; felt more like staying in a pretty good hotel than staying in a backpacker hostel.

The lady running the hostel is so very helpful, it's worth staying here just for her travel advice. She also has a great idea of what guests need, and all the little details are taken care of. The washroom is very clean with good hot water, hooks for clothes and even a hair dryer. The common area is very cozy and feels like your family's living room more than a hostel. The rooms and bedding are spotless as well. This place is a model for what hostels should be like!

I just wanna say I really enjoy my stay. To Mrs Lee if you're reading this I would like to personally thank you for your help. I have been traveling to a lot of places and stayed in different type of accommodation and I have to say I enjoy yours the help. With the abundant information that you supply and your effort to get to know your guest better makes me welcomed and honestly it gives me a good impression of the people of Borneo. Well if I ever coming back to Miri I'll let you know ;)

Great hostel, very laid back home away from home feel, i felt like i was crashing with a local rather than a hostel. Dillenia (the owner) is really helpful not only with Miri related questions but travelling elsewhere as well, very knowledgeable woman, she knows where to get the best deals so ask!

The proprietor Mrs. Lee brings this place from good to great -- she was super nice, helpful about booking transport to local attractions (including bringing guests together for group excursions) and other logistical stuff, and looks out for guests in general.
