We really liked it here. Whenever we come back to Miri we'll stay here again. Our room was big and very clean; felt more like staying in a pretty good hotel than staying in a backpacker hostel.

The lady running the hostel is so very helpful, it's worth staying here just for her travel advice. She also has a great idea of what guests need, and all the little details are taken care of. The washroom is very clean with good hot water, hooks for clothes and even a hair dryer. The common area is very cozy and feels like your family's living room more than a hostel. The rooms and bedding are spotless as well. This place is a model for what hostels should be like!

I just wanna say I really enjoy my stay. To Mrs Lee if you're reading this I would like to personally thank you for your help. I have been traveling to a lot of places and stayed in different type of accommodation and I have to say I enjoy yours the help. With the abundant information that you supply and your effort to get to know your guest better makes me welcomed and honestly it gives me a good impression of the people of Borneo. Well if I ever coming back to Miri I'll let you know ;)

The proprietor Mrs. Lee brings this place from good to great -- she was super nice, helpful about booking transport to local attractions (including bringing guests together for group excursions) and other logistical stuff, and looks out for guests in general.

Well I could not ask for a better introduction into staying at a guesthouse, as Dillenia was the first time in using this form of accommadation. It is well managed and the staff that I met were very helpfull and polite. Dillinena I found to be in a good location with plenty of shopping locations within walking distance. As this was my first trip to Miri, thanks for making my stay an enjoyable one.

Dillenia is gem! It's hard to find somewhere that's clean, comfortable and welcoming in Miri that's also affordable. Free breakfast, all day tea and coffee and good wifi access are great bonuses, as was free luggage storage while we went to the rainforest for a few days. Mrs Lee has a wealth of information about Miri and the area which she is happy to share. She replied to our pre visit emails very quickly, arranged a taxi from the airport and went the extra mile helping us.

Overall it's a great experience staying in Dillenia Guest House. The owner, Mrs. Lee is very friendly and helpful. The guest house is clean and giving us a feel of 'home' :) However, it's abit noisy during night time, you can hear music and people making noise from bistro nearby the guest house. There is only 2 bath rooms and 2 toilets for each floor, which only one bathroom with water heater. So, it's abit inconvenient if you come in a big group.

The most important of all is Dillenia makes me feel at home despite being away from home. Thanks to Mr and Mrs Lee for making my trip to Miri safe and at home, definitely will come back again. From, Siew Eng from KL

It's my first time staying in a hostel and I must say that Dillenia Guest House probably change the way I'll travel in the future. It's so cozy I felt right at home when I reached there, and the place is so clean I could probably lick the floor! Location is great, since Miri isn't that big, I felt like all the important places is within walking distance from the hostel. Would definitely stay here again if I ever find myself traveling to Miri.

Great little hostel, so nice and clean it's got everything you need! The actual highlight however, is Mrs Lee, the most organised soul I've ever met who will help you out with whatever you want to do! Loved it, if I went back to Miri I know where I would stay

This is by far THE most helpful hostel I've ever been to. Ms. Lee jumped through hoops to help me during my two nights at Dillenia Guest House. From booking a taxi to pick me up from the airport to go straight to Niah National Park -- to contacting a Chinese family headed to Brunei -- and then negotiating a price for me to tag along. A+ for cleanliness. Breakfast is just toast and fresh fruit -- coffee and tea always available. Wifi was excellent. Awesome awesome hostel! Highly recommend.

Hostel and is really nice and Mrs Lee is lovely. Would be nice if someone was around all the time at reception but normally you only have to wait 10mins fir her to turn up. Arranged cheap trip to Niah Caves for us, very thankful. Hostel is very clean, great location! Would stay there again!!

I was only there one night, but Ms. Lee was very helpful and found me a good deal on transportation to Brunei from Miri. The hostel was clean and quiet.
