Very cold atmosphere. There is a bar built into the place but even on weekend there was no real fun feel. Nobody wanted to chat. However, the husstle can be heard in all the rooms... not good if trying to sleep. The beds were cool though and the room lockers were small but interesting feature. This place is style over substance but at 200 MXN per night ....

My first night, there was a couple with two toddlers in my room, one cried thru the night. I changed rooms. The beds are separated by slightly more than one inch hollow cinderblocks, so the your neighbor is too close, in my opinion. Breakfast was 2 slices of white bread with margarine, a piece of fruit and warm coffee. They had it to you in a line from behind a partition. One morning, the guy handed me a plate with one slice of bread on it. Ridiculous. Pretentious staff. ugh.

Rooms are big enough and not too crowded, though there's no table or bench to put stuff on. Separated toilets and shower space. Shower water is good. Most time the whole place is maintained clean. Free breakfast is too simple. Staff are friendly and always try to help, but they need better coordination. If you book tours at frontdesk, make sure to confirm all the information with the staff, and double check or even triple check from time to time. Overall I would recommend this place.

It's a cool place, however, it is attached into a super fancy hotel etc. There isn't a backpacker vibe at all, the rooftop bar they talk about is a part of the hotel and so fancy/expensive. We were not told outside alcohol wasn't allowed, it's so expensive to drink there so we brought our own, were immediately stopped and treated like criminals. Security was called when we were apologetic and saying we would get rid of it and that we just didn't know. If you are in a group, you might like it..

This place is new, modern, clean, well-organized and the staff here is pleasant, accommodating and speaks passable English. The young front desk guy from Puebla is ADORABLE. It's a popular hostel in a great locale, close to major sights. Be warned tho, it's noisy every night because of the centrally located bar (bring earplugs and you'll sleep fine). Rooms are Spartan but still comfortable and clean. Bathrooms and showers are sufficiently clean and I never experienced a lack of toilet paper!

Overall, a really good place.

Our stay at Downtown was amazing! The hostel itself was incredible and location was perfect for us! the highlight were the staff, They gave us the best recommendations for eating, nightlife and tours! We're extremely helpful whenever we needed! Only downside was the placement of our room out the front of bathroom and common area was a bit noisy but if you are a heavy sleeper or ok to be woken every now and then it's really not a deal breaker, and wasn't for us. Ps- do the teotiwakan tour!!

Good location, close to a lot of things. Pretty cheap for Mexico City. No atmosphere whatsoever. Facilities are pretty good. Had no problems with the staff. Nice if you are looking for a place to chill and sightsee but terrible if you are looking to meet people and have a drink.

Necesitan verificar bien el manejo de las reservaciones fue muy molesto el hecho de que estuvieran moviendonos de habitación una lástima para tan bonito lugar, el staff un poco retador

Great location! Beds are comfortable, showers are decent. Lacks group activities and social aspect. Poor bathroom lighting.

Great spacious hostel in the heart of downtown, breakfast was limited & one of the reception girls was extremely unhelpful and a little rude, has a great cinema room and dorm rooms are nice and modern

Atmosphere is bery dark. Public spaces does not allow mixture of people and very uncomfortable. Not protected from the rain. Breakfast is ok, needs free coffee.
