The pool really made it, the rooms with air con were like a fan room as air could come in from outside and dogs barking from across the road at all hours made it impossible to get a good night's sleep. However, the food was really good, the hostel was very sociable and the pool was what you needed in that kind of heat.

The Downtown Siem Reap was my favorite of any hostel I've been to. The man who runs it is very friendly and super helpful. He's very knowledgeable about how to get around, and he helped me plan the next leg of my jouney. Of course I have to say, the pool they have there is a HUGE perk. It, as well as everything else at the DT Siem Reap, is kept extremely clean. I met a guy there who was soon to become the new bartender, and he will make a great addition to the environment. 10/10 for me

If you are going to book a room here make sure it's an air con room as the fan dorms get very hot! Excellent location. We waited an hour for food but was very nice.

Positives: The central location, the food, comfy bed and big swimming pool were the highlights. The breakfasts taste just like they do at home. High pressure hot water showers, bar area next to the pool and knowledgable staff (although wasn't easy to find them sometimes). Negatives: they often seemed understaffed. It took 3 hours to get sheets on our bed when we checked in at 2pm. We kept windows closed all day but due to unsealed areas in the room a LOT of bugs got in. Room not cleaned often.

If you're not going to use the pool, don't stay here. The pool makes up for a lot of things. It's a very nice pool.

The price was ideal however do not stay there unless you have aircon. I am comfortable in tropical weather and I sweat through the night without sleeping. Also, i dont believe my sheets were freshly laundered before i took over the bed. The bugs are bad in the fan rooms as well. The pool is great as well as the food. Electrical outlets are hard to come by in the dorm rooms. Great water pressure in the showers, bathrooms cleaned regularly. My biggest complaint would be the bugs & sheets.

This place is great. So close to everything. 75cent beers and the pool is fantastic. Much needed after a sweaty day at the temples.

The place is nice, but the owner ripped us off. We had a mixup with our reservation and he took advantage of that situation to charge us more money. The reservation system is a joke and very sketchy. The pool is great to be honest, but don't waste your time making a reservation, we saw people being bounced because they hadn't "confirmed" the reservation, when actually no confirmation is requested.

Beautiful swimming pool. Owner Mark very helpful, and his staff are more than accommodating. Nice location 5 minutes walk away from pub street in more quiet area. Tours can be booked from hostel. Thankyou for a great stay!

Sorry, but what a rip off. They charge you 5 Dollars PER day for the AC, on top of what you pay for the room! On here, they only say "AC not included". I had no idea it was 5 Dollars a day! You can run your AC on full speed 24/7 in Europe or in the U.S. and you'll pay 2-3 bucks. And this is Cambodia. They even turned off the AC several times even though I paid an outrageously high fee for it. WTF? Absolutely ridiculous Would NOT recommend this Hostel..

Was a clean place to stay in Cambodia. The English guy was a little bit selfish, but the staff people was helpful with my needs. If you want a stay I'm a clear place in siem reap. Go. Good location, but during the first night is a little bit scary, but very very safe

Very nice hostel, perfect location close to everything. Amazing swimming pool with a bar at the side for drinks and meals. The free airport pick up is a plus. Perfect place to stay!! The only thing to note is that the staff keeps your passport for your whole stay until you do the check out. This is in order to ensure that you pay the bill (accomodation plus drinks/meals in the hostel bar) but they are nobody to do that... Also you can only eat and drink the food that you buy in the hostel bar.

the hostel has one very big advantage: the pool. the rooms are ok but there better for the same price. the owner is very friendly and has a whole-day-smile on his face. negative: no remote for the a/c, overpriced bus tickets (we booked the same ticket close to public street for 6 dollars less/each), very expensive daytrip to the temples ( 25 dollar for 5 hours, just because we visited a temple half an hour away from angkor wat without giving any information that it costs more to go there)

Amazing, kind and helpful staff and manager. No hot water in the dorms shower- but it's such hot weather that it doesn't make a difference. great food and cheap. The swimming pool is the BEST, and makes a wonderful social atmosphere in the hostel. Highly recommended.
