It was the worst hostel I stayed in during my 2 month trip to China. The room had no window and none of the facilities promised in the internet. There where bugs in the bed, it was like a prison cell. The owner just said my expectaions where to high. I got my money back and went to another hostel...

Owner Comment (Show)
as we always said, its not fair to compare China's hotel room size/rates with Hongkong room size/rates. The land and labour cost are totally different.

You get what you pay for i wouldn't want to stay here more than one day. i got a private room and it was the size of a shoe box. but you can expect much for that money in Hong Kong. in the end good value for money

I stayed at room No 704, this room was little bit far from the main reception of this hostel. Its door was opened all time, I just feel that everybody could go inside. But another things were OK. This hostel is near Mong Kok MTR station. There are a lot of local restaurants which offer good price around Mong Kok, you could try dimsum at Dim dim sum specialist near Dragon.

Very nice place to stay if you're planning to visit Hong Kong- safe and accessible. Mr. Steve who is the night attendant is very accommodating. The place is also near the MTR- about 3 mins. walk. From MTR you can go to places where you want to visit in Hong Kong. Dragon Hostel is safe and got good wifi connection. They also help visitor/s for directions to places you/they want to go- A21, Disneyland, Ladies Night Market, etc.. Walking distance from A21 (N21)- airport bus worth HKD 33.00.

The location is convenient , near MTR and shopping center. Room and toilet is small (it is normal in hongkong) but still ok. Price is cheap. Good value for money!!

I felt like I was in a women's prison. The rooms were like cells and I was living amongst other people's washing. Also, there was a band room that sounded like it was 2 floors above me that played rock classics until about 10.30pm. The walls were also very thin so I could hear other people's conversations. The front desk was not friendly or helpful. No wifi (although this was clearly stated in the description), which is one service that is now expected in most hostels across the world.

Good location, friendly and helpful staff. Nothing spectacular but ideal for short city stay

Mostly I liked it. I have seen the boss is very friendly and hospitable. Room was very clean room. Hostel is in the center, closes to public transport, very convenient for moving and shopping. Roomate are also very friendly and funny. I only remembered the name of one people is Christopher - German. And one Indians in the other room, who led me around all night looking for Dim sum, but do not see, so funny.

After staying 3 nights in Chungking Mansion it was a relief coming to Dragon Hostel. There were at least 2 english-speaking staff and the others were helpful and nice despite communication problems. Everything went smooth and we had no problems during our stay. It's not somewhere you stay if you're looking to meet fellow travelers but if you're looking for a decent living in a good spot for an ok price this is your place.

As good as it gets for that money in that city. Location is excellent, very lively local area. Direct bus from Airport and many buses and trains to Island.

Dragon Hostel exceeded my expectations. It was my first time to stay in a hostel though, so I don’t have much to compare it to. I would absolutely stay there again.

The room and bathroom were so small, very difficult to move although I'm only 170cm/59kg. The best thing for this hostel is the location, very near with ladies market.

This hostel is okay. It is clean and in a good location, although it is terribly difficult to find. The staff seem nice although there is very little English. Look for a hostel in TST is my advice

This is the cheapest hostel we could find in Kowloon but it's still expensive in my opinion. However everyone knows how high are HK's prices. Location is good (close to Mong Kok subway station and Nathan Rd), place is safe the rooms are very small - you feel like you live in a cell (claustrophobic people, beware!), no windows. the rooms and common facilities are generally clean although I once saw a cockroach strolling down the wall Small towels are for sale (20 HK$). Staff is quite unfriendly
