I only stayed for one night as I had already booked another hostel for the rest of my stay, so I can't say too much about it. Very friendly and helpful staff though, gave me a bunch of maps right away. My single room was small but clean. The hostel is located in an alley, but arriving there during daylight following the instructions given was no problem. Also the check-out time is very generous; between 10am and 2pm! I'd say from my very short stay that all in all it's a decent hostel.

아지트 같은 분위기로 인해 낯설지 않아서 좋았어요. 친구 추천으로 갔었는데 기회가 된다면 또 머물 예정입니다.

A nicely laid out hostel with decent security located 5 mins from Guting Metro. A good crowd of travellers and mostly nice staff however there is a problem that one particular staff member feels the need to hang around when not working making sarcastic comments to guest which is obviously not acceptable. Facilities include most of the things you'd need though air-con could be upgraded in some areas. The hostel is kept clean and offers lodging at a fair price for Taiwan. Overall good

Love this place! It's the people. Where else does the staff serenade guests with ukeleles? And fresh baked scones delivered to your bunk! Had to drag me out kicking and screaming. I wanna go baaaack!

It is located in a convenient, friendly neighbourhood. The common area is homey. would be nicer if the wifi signal can reach the dorm rooms. Sometimes it is a bit hard to find a staff who is on duty early in the morning. I would recommend this place to students looking for an affordable accommodation with cool atmosphere.

Very friendly staff working here. Trina was especially sweet to us by leaving us with a cute note at our bed. Thanks Trina, our sweet little sister from Taiwan :). Do book the single or double private rooms if you want more peace and privacy. Our first night at the twin room brought us to the DD (Dreaming Dragon) apartment next door. It was really comfortable and quiet. The dormitory rooms are next to the living room and was pretty noisy at night. However, the beds are pretty comfortable.

All the staff are extremely helpful with any questions that you may have. The hostel is located really close to the subway so it is easy to get anywhere in the city. Only negative, the only place you could keep your bags was on the floor, so unless you rented a locker your valuables would be in the room for anyone to take.

While the staff is nice (even hanging a giftbag on my door with a special treat and personal note), the common areas have a messy, dirty feel. The single room smelled of wet feet and being off the showers and kitchen you are woken all hours of the night through morning with loud conversations, showers and kitchen activity. The bed/pillow were also extremely hard. The location is also a bit dark and hidden to return. They also ask you to sign a lease, I did not. This place is more for students.

It would be nice if kitchen's utensils(saucepan & other) are kept in top condition, as we do actually cook. Wifi range should also be extended further away using other router?

I was a bit disappointed by my stay in the Eight Elephants Hospital. I was confused as to who was staff and who was actually 'on duty'. Apart from the person on clean-up duty in the morning most seemed to be enjoying down-time on a lap-top in the common area. I also didn't understand why non-guests would be in the common area which seemed to be the norm. I want to meet other travelers in hostels not friends of staff or local residents just hanging out. I'd give it 2 out of 5.

Great place that is really communal, which is what I look for in a hostel. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. There is no other place I'd stay in Taipei; I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. Greetings to Will, Gina and Graham and his donut-loving appetite.

They placed me in the DD next door to EE. It is nice and small but the EE is better. However, you fet what you pay for.
