All the staff are extremely helpful with any questions that you may have. The hostel is located really close to the subway so it is easy to get anywhere in the city. Only negative, the only place you could keep your bags was on the floor, so unless you rented a locker your valuables would be in the room for anyone to take.

While the staff is nice (even hanging a giftbag on my door with a special treat and personal note), the common areas have a messy, dirty feel. The single room smelled of wet feet and being off the showers and kitchen you are woken all hours of the night through morning with loud conversations, showers and kitchen activity. The bed/pillow were also extremely hard. The location is also a bit dark and hidden to return. They also ask you to sign a lease, I did not. This place is more for students.

I was a bit disappointed by my stay in the Eight Elephants Hospital. I was confused as to who was staff and who was actually 'on duty'. Apart from the person on clean-up duty in the morning most seemed to be enjoying down-time on a lap-top in the common area. I also didn't understand why non-guests would be in the common area which seemed to be the norm. I want to meet other travelers in hostels not friends of staff or local residents just hanging out. I'd give it 2 out of 5.

Great place that is really communal, which is what I look for in a hostel. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. There is no other place I'd stay in Taipei; I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. Greetings to Will, Gina and Graham and his donut-loving appetite.

They placed me in the DD next door to EE. It is nice and small but the EE is better. However, you fet what you pay for.

Close to metro station and the famous places, and the price is very reasonable. Landlord hired some students to manage the house, they are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend! 位于市中心,交通便利,靠近景点区,价格合理。管理人员多为大学生,热情好客,礼貌有助。下次一定会再光顾!非常值得推荐!

Overall Good but 2 in the 3 showers do not have hot water, to me it's a big no-no. better to have a "hanging linen" for each dorm bunk to provide privacy and blocking the room light

A great little hostel with clean comfortable rooms, right near the funky ShiDa night market. They even have a guitar to play in the lounge.

It's a really cool hostel in a great, older neighborhood with lots of character. The staff gave us a map with a delicious breakfast place, and other attractions nearby. The entrance is always kept locked, so I felt that the security was really good.

I stay a very little time over there as I always played overnight in these three days. However I still find it a warm and nice hostel. As I have known lots of good singaporean there and staffs are so nice. Just one little thing, I find rooms in basement are so hot at night.

Some more cleaning of shared stuff would be welcome (e.g. keyboard, tables, sinks). Very helpful staff
