I am a big fan of this hostel. The ambience can't be beat! I usually stay in a dorm room. However, this time I stayed in the double bed private, and was disappointed. The bed was really uncomfortable. And I don't just mean "standard hostel uncomfortable" but like sleeping on a piece of plywood. If there is only one double bed room, I'd think getting a foam pad from Carrefour--for what, 300NTD?--would make a world of difference. So I recommend this place, but only if you're staying in the dorms!

EE has 2 units, EE and DD, I stayed at DD for 2 days, the shower room is REALLY REALLY small, to be frank, No offence, and mattress is sort of hard compared with other hostels I stayed in TW, no offence, just personal preference. The location is perfect, easy access to metro, traditional breakfast and genuine Taiwan's milk tea.

PROS: -Very nice atmosphere, had a co-op kind of feel in the best way possible. -Private room was very cozy -Free tea, coffee, ice cubes -Everything you need to cook/store food CONS: -Paper-thin walls: you could hear your neighbors and taiwanese neighbors in next door building -Price is a little high -Staff is sometimes difficult to find, and weren't as helpful during our stay as those at other hostels

A little bit noisy during my first night there, not because of the hostel but mostly the residents there. And a little bit hard to find.

Great stay with some of the most friendly and supportive staff I've ever experienced in a hostel. Solid spot!

Great Hostel - Clean linen, bathrooms and kitchen areas. Proper hot showers, bunk beds not too crowded into the dorm room. Staff are helpful and seem genuinely friendly - relaxed atmosphere amongst the quests. Can rent clean towels cheaply. Great food nearby, and 5 minutes from the subway. I think they should watch out the clutter doesn't get out of hand. I checked out early in the morning, couldn't get my 500 deposit back, so I enquired later by email, and they refunded me! Very Happy!

It's really hard to find its location by myself for the first time. It locates on the first floor of an apartment,so you will hear the louds made by the other residents living in the apartment. So i really don't like its location and loudiness.

Had a great time here. Great staff and peeps! Clean rooms and sheets! The common area may be a little small, but people are always coming and going, so not a big deal. Location is a little hard to find, but the location is perfect and there are a lot of small restaurants to eat at in the area.

I am glad I chose to live in EE&DD. My nights there were great. It felt just like home. I'm not easy when it comes to stay somewhere not my house, but I was totally cool with EE&DD. Thank you for making me feel like I was home.

We were in EE before leaving Taipei. EE has perfect location. 3 mins walk to the subway station, 10 min walk to Shida night market. The staff(Sarah served us) is helpful, sweet, patient and kind. EE is a great place for backpacker.

I booked a single room and I liked it. The bathrooms and showers were clean. There was everything I was looking for in the hostel but I didn't like the area. Very hard to find and dirty area. The people were ok but I don't think I'll book here again.

The hostel is ok. I liked the area, but the hostel is a bit messy and the dorm i stayed in was in the basement, the reception and common room as well, so i felt a bit trapped...

Very good location close to the Guting MTR station, just 10 minutes walking to Shida night market, many restaurants and supermarkets around. The staff is very friendly and they arrange activities in the hostel like the movie night, christmas and birthday party, etc. We were sleeping in a private room during low season and it looks like being in our own appartment with almost private bathroom and living room. Good time there!

The staff was really friendly and helpful. It is my first time staying in the hostel and I truly enjoy the experience of meeting new people at your hostel and the cleanliness of the place. :)

Staffed by wonderfully kind young women. They were very helpful as I was sick for one of the nights spent there. Located near several universities, walking the neighborhood is very interesting.
