Due to an error on my part, our reservation had a mistake. But Brian at the desk helped us and helped find a place for us to stay.

I would prefer fresh bread for breakfast instead of dry biscuits and sleep under a duvet.

We (a couple) were in a low season and were given a nice large room that accommodates 4, with a balcony overlooking Dead Sea. Curious ibexes were coming near the balcony and roaming everywhere on site, which was very nice. The only gripe was that buses were parked opposite the balcony, obstructing the picturesque view, but on the other hand without group of people coming we wouldn't have tasty, diverse dinner and lunch served at the dinner room, a very good value.

if you choose the hostel because it's so close to the beach: yes, it is very, very close. But swimming in the dead sea is way better a few miles down south. the guest house itself is great, though, cozy and clean. wouldn't neccessarily wanna stay in the youth hostel from what i saw. food is not special, but good. good price, too

The environment was quite clean, and facilities were great. The bathrooms and shower facilities extremely clean and well-maintained, feeling more like a hotel than a typical hostel. However, it didn't feel like a backpacker's hostel, with common lobby space to meet other travelers, and without a strong sense of community (which is fine). Also, it was packed with youth groups that tended to be quite loud when I was there.

It is not really the hostel's fault. The te school classes were quite loud at night and early in the morning (turned on music very loud), which is not good for the animals around and the other visitors. Maybe there should be a stricter rule regarding hours (i.e. after 10pm it should be quiet). I know it is difficult with teenagers, but it would be appreciated by the other travellers.

I stayed in the hostel many years ago, when it was very much smaller than today and you got to talk to people easily. Now it is still a very good hostel but so big and all the groups and families rather stay among themselves

Location is excellent. breakfast was great. building was modern & comfortable. Cleanliness would have been rated excellent if not for the dirty blankets. Need some activities or facilities for guests, particularly in the evening, since the location is so remote. Maybe just some music or tv in the lounge & some games ( cards, chess, etc) for guests to use. Just something to do since it got dark early. No shops close by so more vending machines would be good. Otherwise, we loved it (& the ibex!).
