Staying at El Puesto was definitely like being at home. Felipe, Sally and Tao (the dog) make you feel that way. Nice tv room, nice and spaceful dorms, and the best of all: a garden with a swimming-pool and a place to make barbacues outside. I will go back there in summer!!

An exceptional hostel! It is the third time I have stayed at El Puesto and I highly recommend it to all ages. Felipe and Sal are brilliant hosts and their tog Tao is second to none. The hostel has a warm and cosy atmosphere in Winter and it´s a fantastic place to enjoy in Summer with the clean swimming pool & garden. I have enjoyed an evening asado on each occasion with a mix of Felipe´s friends and other guests.

Very welcoming hosts, keen to please, such as quickly sorting out a water supply problem caused by some work being done. Our private double room was very large. The common area was also large and relaxing, with great photos of music legends. There was lots of information available about activities in town and nearby, which the hosts were happy to arrange for people. Very friendly dog. The 2 bathrooms might not be enough if the place is full, but this was no problem for us personally.

It was one of my favourite places, the town, the hostel, the people, Sally & Felipe! I enjoyed so much that I stayed one night extra, if my plan was not so tight I could have stayed longer! I surely recommend it and when i go back to Argentina one day, I will stay there again! Sig

Don't go there in peak season, the dorms are really too small for the amount of beds in it. And there are only 2 bathrooms (no seperate toilet). Swimming pool and garden are pretty nice, breakfast is average. But way too expensive!

Excellent hostel. Very pleasant experience. Pool was great in hot weather. Facilities are old but clean. Mattresses were very comfortable. It was mid summer and the bunk room was a bit hot, but the double room with air conditioning was extremely comfortable. Owner and staff made every effort to assure a good visit for us. My wife and I really liked it.

Felipe and Sally made me feel at home the whole time. I've been to more than 300 hostels worldwide and El Puesto is one of my favorites. It has a great swimming pool and a really cool common room where travelers hang out, play the guitar and get to know each other. The owners made BBQs pretty much every night and they always invited my wife and I to join them. Coming to San Antonio de Areco and staying at El Puesto has been one of the highlights of our trip around South America.

Breakfast was subpar. But overall this is a decent place to stay. Nice old building.
