great view, great people, great hostel. The hostel is a perfect base for hiking trips or other activities. Roch (the owner) is super friendly, eeasygoing and helpful. And you sleep in the caves like the original inhabitants, how cool is that!?

The Cave Hostel has been the most amazing experience in Gran Canaria. It was an unique place, that I recommend to everyone who wants to enjoy the real Canarian island. I had also the honour to stay in another cave which was even better than the first. The guy running the hostel was moreover so nice to suggest us some trekking in the area, which were fabulous! I'll definitely come back!

Amazing views, great for star watching and relaxing in peace! In the morning, you can enjoy the fresh specialty bread from the local bakery brought by our host. Big thanks and see you soon !

Nice location with friendly atmosphere more homelike than a hostel. You can enjoy your evening with other travelers in the dining room and in the morning is prepared nice continental breakfast. It is difficult to find it and nobody knows where it is. But Artenara is definitely place where you can spend peaceful time out of busy city. Patrons were really helpful to suggest us which way to choose for hiking or offered us a lift to simplify our traveling - much appreciated!

Amazing hostel. Hard to compare with other hostels. Location is good if you like to hike or just chillout away from busy city. And the views... breathtaking. You don't have to go anywhere - just exit the cave and you have a great view at the Tejeda Valley (with Roque Bentayga and Roque Nublo). Roch (caveman ;) running the hostel) is extremely friendly. If you need any information about the area, hike tracks, other activities, just ask him. "ale okap by się przydał" - just joking ;)

After travelling Europe for over 2 months El Warung was the absolute perfect ending to my trip. The host, Rock, was amazing. He cooked dinner for everyone in the cave on our first night and took us on a beautiful hike through the mountains of Gran Canaria the next day. I will never forget this memorable experience.

Very sympathic staff-members. Quite difficult to find; although it's a small village, almost nobody knows where it is. You have an amazing view over the mountains and if you experience sunset and sunrise there, it's something you won't easily forget. I'd recommend this place to people looking for a different type of hostel. It's certainly worth the money!

The first impression is that this hostel is more basic in terms of bathroom facilities than other hostels however it has way more character and way more fun to stay in than a lot of hostels. The location is amazing and the view out the front door in the morning is phenomenal! The staff were great.

We loved the stay and Roch was a great host. The views were amazing, and be sure to ask Roch for good hiking routes- He sent us on two great ones... One of the best weekends I've ever had. No complaints at all! We took busses all of the way there and then took the airport transfer on the way back and I'd recommend either.

I wish that I had had time to stay longer. It is such an interesting area. of course the fact that the sun shone the whole time I was there may have made me see the place through rose tinted spectacles. But even in cold wet weather the cave is lovely and warm. Only problem with Warung is that the doors to the dining room/kitchen don't shut.

A beautiful and very special place in one of the most outstanding regions of gran canaria! If you want to stay a night in the mountains (you really have to, when you are here in Gran Canaria, because the island shows his beauty espacially in the mountainous regions) I definetely recommend the El Warung cave hostel! It's a great experience!
