Nice hostel in the mountainous area of Gran Canaria. The beds were great and the hostel is really cute having been dug out of the mountain. The mountainous area is really easily accessible by car from the hostel and there are various hike starting points. Also don't forget to go for some stargazing somewhere away from the main roads, without lights, because that's also really worth it !

Lovely little place with spectacular views. Only sleeps max 8 people so pretty small and good to get to know people. Highly recommended!

Lovely atmosphere and beautiful location. It was such a cool experience to stay in a traditional cave house! The staff and all the other guests at the hostel were wonderful. I would not describe myself as a "hostel" person, but because of the small size of the hostel and the location in the mountains, the rest of the clientele were also into a quiet and nature/sport/oriented travel, which fit me very well :) The village also has everything you need. Would definitely recommend this place!

Facilities are not even worth calling it facilities - it would have been nice to kind of getting an idea what you can expect ... which is literally not a lot. Knowing that everyone is looking for different things, I'm talking about a clean and cosy room to sleep in, hot shower (no towels!), room cleaning is a joke, bathroom and toilet better to avoid.., I can really not believe this extremely positive rating so far - what a betrayal!

Amazing view and friendly atmosphere, definitely recommend this hostel. The staff will tell you about the nearest WiFi spots and best places to eat, and perhaps take you hiking. Be prepared for weather changes though, take some extra layers with you. El Warung even has a beautiful black cat, but don't worry if you're allergic - she's not allowed to enter dorms.
