more like student accommodation than a hostel, nowhere near blois centre so don\'t stay here unless you\'re driving, also hard to find as you have to use the back entrance and nothing is marked. stay here if you\'re driving, arriving late at night and have already eaten as here are non restaurants, leaving in the morning.more like student accommodation than a hostel, nowhere near blois centre so don\'t stay here unless you\'re driving, also hard to find as you have to use the back entrance and nothing is marked. stay here if you\'re driving, arriving late at night and have already eaten as here are non restaurants, leaving in the morning....Close

This hostel is poorly-situated and the staff are quite unfriendly. Breakfast is poor in comparison to other hotels. I would recommend it only for a very short stay. This hostel is poorly-situated and the staff are quite unfriendly. Breakfast is poor in comparison to other hotels. Could not find this place. But the area was not good. Tried calling, but no one answered. Based on the area and the unanswered phone call - I would NOT recommend.Could not find this place. Blois is not the place to go if you don't speak French and aren't adventurous. This hostel is run by a non-profit organization, so its cheap but can't afford to pay extra for employees who speak anything other than French. It's quite the pain in the ass to try to check in, order breakfast (3 euro extra), let alone meet people if you don't speak the language. The place has the charm of a hospital, and is surrounded by very run-down apartments. But it's cheap.Blois is not the place to go if you don't speak French and aren't adventurous. really great hostel! clean rooms and friendly, helpful staff. they don't have a kitchen for you to use but they have an amazing buffet breakfast for 3 euro! its a bit out of town but its about a 20minute walk in and you can go the back way and see the beautiful streets of blois. definitely stay at this hostel if you are backpacking through blois and want to see the loire valley. :)really great hostel! clean rooms and friendly, helpful staff. they don't have a kitchen for you to use but they have an amazing buffet breakfast for 3 euro! its a bit out of town but its about a 20minute walk in and you can go the back way and see the beautiful streets of blois. definitely stay at this hostel if you are backpacking through blois and want to see the loire valley. :)...Close

The location is out of the way - about 1.5 miles outside of the train station, chateau, main hotels, etc. - but if you can handle that, it's a great price and the staff are really friendly. I booked a 5-bed dorm but ended up in a 2-bed room and was the only person in it. I had a real problem communicating with the staff since no one spoke a word of English for the duration of my stay, even though they were extremely nice. This hostel was no where near any of the castles that I wanted to see. The whole city seems to shut down on Sunday making it impossible to travel anywhere. I wouldn\'t recommend staying here, nor would I come back.I had a real problem communicating with the staff since no one spoke a word of English for the duration of my stay, even though they were extremely nice.
