EYH is in a somewhat dodgy area near the train station, but it is very close to the Old City by either walking or tram. Staff was helpful in getting one acclimated to the hostel and the city. The bar was nice and breakfast was all you can eat for less than 5 euro, and they did not seem to be too bugged by me taking stuff to go. Room was nice and clean, big, curtains on the beds, good lockers, but opened to a patio that got noisy. Room wasn't en suite, wc a floor down. Overall, a good experience.

Great Staff, really helpful. The bar is an awesome place to meet new people. PLUS THE LOCATION IS BEYOND FANTASTIC IF YOU ARRIVE BY TRAIN!

The location is great, a 2 min walk from the Hauptbahnhof, and 10-15 min walk from downtown (Munich is a fairly small city, and walkable without using public transit). The staff are really helpful. The wifi was spotty but it got better after the first day. Great prices for happy hour. I stayed in a 3-person dorm and the room itself has a sink, mirror and wall plugs. You only need the communal washrooms for using the toilet and shower. The showers are in private individual rooms.

This is not a hostel in the normal; sense, but a large bar with dorm rooms attached. It does not have a kitchen to store and prepare food, nor a common room except for the said bar. However it is ideally located near the main train station and U-bahn network. It is spotlessly clean, and staff are polite and helpful. There are not enough toilets and showers. They also have a strange policy of having an age limit for some dorm rooms and not for others, which is not mentioned on their web site.

Very easy to get from the central train station, about 3 minutes walk. Staff was great and very helpful. Breakfast was great. Well above the average hostel breakfast. The only thing that bothered me is that there's quite a bit of noise around the lobby and that If you're staying above the entrance you have to shut your windows in the night if you don't want to get cigarette smoke into your room.

Pretty much excellent. Only problem was the very poor air quality in the room which made the actual sleeping part kind of a pain.

Everything is good except that the room was quite small so it became very smelly. Don't stay in a mixed dorm.

Great place and very close to the station! Floor boards throughout the rooms which makes for dirty feet but otherwise great!

Very nice rooms, but I thought it misses some daily cleaning . The staff was very helpful and helped me with some tickets and boarding pass that I had to print. The bar is really good, with an offer of local beers for a reasonable price. I just wanted to have a better pillow, because this one is very unconfortable.

Great hostel in the very center with friendly staff. Not much of a common area, but a great base to explore the city!

Our room was just on the second floor above the entrance and the noise and the smoke from the people smoking at the entrance was a major problem to us. For 2 nights we heard people talking loudly till 4-5am. I guess it's because of the pub downstairs. I hope the hostel could do something about this. These people were waking up everyone in my room.

Great hostel! huge rooms with good lockers, great shower and comun bathrooms very clean! Great bar downstairs! Just next to the train station, a short walk from the citys main square! The only downside is that there is no kitchen... breakfast was better 2 years ago when i first stayed there, but is still ok (4 euros extra)!

Loud at night due to street noise. Sinks and mirrors in room are good. Pillows were flat and uncomfortable. Lots of showers/toilets available. Awesome location, very close to train station. Overall great hostel.

This is the best hostel I've stayed in. It's very close to both the main train station and Marienplatz (the city center). It's very clean. The bar at the first floor is very lively at night and it has an extended happy hour between 6-9 p.m. We all slept very comfortably because, at least on the 4th floor, there's no noise at night. Extras: there's a Lidl supermarket at one end of the street and a cheap pizza place at the other. Plus lots of casinos nearby, if that's your thing :)

- I was so surprised to see how near from the main trem station it was, and also near the most important place I wanted to visited. The staff in the reception was very very friendly and helpfull. There is a kind of pub inside the hostel where I could have a lot of fun in a great atmosphere and good value for money. - Toilets weren't very cleant and one of them was out of order.
