About

Is it the private rooms with their spacious terraces, or perhaps the winter garden with its inner courtyard where you can relax in a cosy atmosphere?

Is it the reason that all our rooms have private bathrooms, a legendary WomBAR or is it our impeccable cleanliness?
These are probably some of the reasons why our Wombat's City Hostel Munich Hauptbahnhof has previously won the Hoscars for the most popular hostel in Munich.

Another thing that contributes to our popularity is our location:
The famous Wiesn, where the even more famous Octoberfest takes place, is only a 10-minute walk away and the old town is even closer, perfect for exploring on foot. Stachus (Karlsplatz), the favourite square of travellers and locals alike, with its lively pedestrian shopping streets, is literally just around the corner.
Munich's other sights are also easily accessible, thanks to our proximity to the main train station.
The Englischer Garten is easily accessible, one of the oldest parks in Europe, twice the size of New York's Central Park, perfect for refuelling after an exciting day in the city.

And speaking of refuelling... it's time for beer! After all, we are in Munich, and the Englischer Garten has no less than four huge outdoor beer gardens.

Includes:
- Bed linen.
- WiFi.
- The WomBAR for endless parties
- A guest kitchen open to all who want to satisfy their own culinary needs.
- 24/7 reception.
- Secure luggage storage.
- Rental items (umbrellas, hairdryers, adaptors; everything a traveller could need).
- Coin-operated laundry facilities (washing and drying), so you can revitalise your clothes.

Our famous Tasty Brekkie buffet guarantees you enough energy for your exciting day in Munich. You can get it for a very affordable price.

The beds were incredibly uncomfortable and need to be updated. The bathroom also smelled really bad even after housekeeping came. The staff were also not the friendliest from reception, the breakfast staff and housekeeping. Convenient location to the train station but the surrounding area didn’t feel the safest.

Loved the Wombat in Munich, it has lots of events to welcome socialising (e.g. walking tours, karaoke night) and nice public spaces to chill in. The beds have curtains.

Hostelworld says

Wombats City Hostel was rated the most popular in Munich at the 2017 Hoscars and we're not surprised. This friendly hostel offers a lot of nice extras to guests, such as parking in the basement, a fully-stocked bar and a frequently praised all-you-can-eat breakfast. We particularly like the hammocks and bean bags in their glass-roofed courtyard, where travellers can relax even during poor weather. They're located just 10 minutes walk from the Oktoberfest and most sights in the city centre, as well as near the U-Bahn and international trains at the Hauptbahnhof.
