The EYH was a good place to stay. However, the room we stayed in was literally on the other side of the wall of the bar so late at night, we could hear everything going on, even personal conversations. You also have to walk all the way down the stairs just to go to the bathroom and one night, someone threw up on the stairs (about 5 times) and it wasn\'t cleaned up by the time we left in the morning. The staff was very helpful and the bar staff was very friendly.

Great hostel! Clean and friendly staff. Close to the train station and good cheap breakfast. Price is reasonable for accommodations. Can be loud at night with the bar.

Great location literally 5 minutes from Hbf, plenty of showers (although only 1 bathroom for all dorms which was weird... but never had a problem with having to wait or anything), clean, friendly staff, great atmosphere in the bar at night if you want to stay close, the beds had curtains which is always appreciated. I would stay here again!

Room was great, very spacious! Loved bar area down stairs! Friendly reception staff! Breakfast food often running low, no bread available.

This is a really well managed hostel, with a staff who work quietly in the background to ensure the well being of customers. The central location is exellent and the bar in the evening makes for a really great attraction with really good prices. The guys who took care of the bedrooms and general housekeeping were so very able and competent. The breakfast was exceptional value for money. Having hostelled all over the world I can assure you that this is one of the top hostels.

Overall the hostel was great, but there was an issue with someone bringing a person back from a different hostel to stay the night. However, the location was great, the hostel itself was really nice (someone said it was an old Waldorf Astoria hotel), and the breakfast was fantastic! I would definitely stay there again.

It have been situated at a 'quiet' street near the hauptbahnhof, but it was really noisy - especially when you have a room facing the courtyard, which I believe is shared with other people staying at the neighbouring hostels. But all in all, this was a great hostel.

* A good stay! my only suggestion is if you have to wake up early and you are a light sleeper you might want to chose a location that is not in such a loud area of town. We were on the 5th floor and I could hear people that were up until 4am and we had to get up early for our bus the next day! But everything was in walking distance and it was conveniently located near the main train station. Plus the staff was very friendly and we were able to keep our suitcases there until check in time :)
